Great track - very relalistic and wonderful CanAm cars from the late 60s, and of course realistic speed. Slot racing at its best. Sadly, very rare today. Great compliment from Germany.
I went one race at Riverside Raceway. I moved to Sunnymead now Moreno Valley just before they decided to make it into a Shopping Mall. In the mornings of a race my wife and I could here the engines roar. It was great.
This is such a wonderful track (thinking about something I would want to build and race on in my home or garage). It has everything you need to race and have many hours of fun without investing hundreds of hours in unnecessary rock cliffs and multiple buildings. Just a great track with maximum visibility of all areas of the track surface. That long, undulating straightaway mimics Riverside's old straightaway perfectly. I'd love to build this and make it 30-40% longer. Kudos to you!
Overall nice, but I'm disappointed that the distinctive Turn 8 doesn't include an accurate decreasing radius with switchback leading onto the back straight. This model track's turn 9 configuration and details suggest the pre-1969 layout with post 1965 Champion Bridge on which the lettering and outlines where bluish gray, not red as shown. During this time-frame RIR boasted of its infield upgrades including "Avenue of The Champions" featuring A-Frame building and new Union 76 fueling station.
Totally, completely, out-of-freakin'-sight!! That raceway has been gone for decades...how in the world did you research this track to replicate it so accurately?

Outstanding guys!!! Great video!!!
Now this is how a slot car track should be done!
Very well made replica. I wish the real thing still existed though.
Riverside and Bridgehampton may they rest in peace. Thanks for the video!
A nice picturesque quality layout, top marks.
The car camera shots are the coolest!
These tracks are beautiful.
Especially the white #6 car keeping pace.
Yeah, the downside is, if you don't have a GoPro already, the price tag
for that Cool shot is gonna cost more than the slot car ;)

The "Remembering Riverside" Facebook page brought me here.
When you race on a non switchable lane track, how do you determine lane selection?
Great job guys!
Expensive, but BAD ASS!
