Very nice work on the video! Good to see you having fun with a couple of my old favorites. 50+ year old cars faster than modern magnet-traction cars? Interesting... Next time I'll send some really quick ones!
From 1:41 . I do not know where this widespread misunderstanding of the term wheelbase comes from. Wheelbase is the axle centre to axle centre length term. So a length term. Just check the specs of any full size car. Perhaps measuring the car you drive against the specifications. The car wheel related width term is the track or sometimes in US circles the tread or tread width. Would love to know how the idea that wheelbase is a width term became widespread in vids.
Hi John, sorry for the misunderstanding. In this case I’m talking about the total width/track of the car. Jim when building this car made it lower than the Ferrari and gave it a wider track (which I referred to as wheelbase). One of those Oopsie moments when filming, but you’re 100% correct. Thanks for watching, cheers!
Hi Frankie, I’m using the connector from OmniSlotBox, it has some alligator clips on the end to connect with the controller. If you look back at the OmniSlotBox unboxing I did you can see the connection used. Cheers brother ✌🏼
@MPSlotCar I have 2 truspeed controllers and an axelbox on the way. Just found out controller works with digital and analog so I'm set. Thanks for the reply
Holy Zhamboni, eh! Both are Icemelters on the Track. Fast as hack they are. Nice demonstration and who really cares about the right term of the Wheelbase, if both outrun them all. ;-)
Those cars look like a lot of fun!!! I like all the angles you got of them going around your layout!!!
Thank you Travis! Appreciate it brother

How did u wire the controller?

G'day massiom, beautiful cars , with the Ferrari try adjusting our voltage this will help great review 👍
Hiya Rhys! Hope all is well, thanks for the tip, I’ll play around with the voltage a little more. Cheers ✌🏼
Given the vintage of both cars, the lap times are very reasonable, especially from the Ferrari, with its pin guide, rather than a standard guide flag.
