My god I am so tired of listening to this drivel about the system. ETH finished third in his first season after abandoning his principles after two games. The next 18 months after that were dreadful. Finished 8th in the league, yes they won a cup, but even mediocre teams can go on a cup run. The next season he has them languishing in 13th before he is sacked after hundreds of millions of pounds to recruit players. You cannot lay any blame on Amorim, and to suggest that him changing formation would have any effect it frankly ridiculous. These players were playing in a different system and it was heading the same way. The issues are the players, and the incompetence of what ETH wanted to bring in. Amorim is doing the right thing. Let these pundits, and media have their rants all they want, the guy knows what he wants to do and I don't think he really cares about the outside noise. It is up to INEOS to back the guy, they gave him an ultimatum to come now, so they should repay a bit of faith back to the guy and let him have the rest of the season to flush out the rubbish and implement his system to the ones that are actually willing to learn. Then in the summer let him recruit a few players and start the journey.

All these numpties saying Amorim should adapt or change his system to accomodate these players. How about these players leave the Club so that Amorim can actually bring players in that can play in his system?. Players like Eriksen and Casmeiro have no business being at Old trafford if they don't have the legs to play in Amorim's system. When Klopp came into Liverpool he played one system. The point of having a system is you can easily identify areas where you can upgrade and then you buy accordingly. Just by design, that dynamic alone should mean you should be on an upward trajectory from the very first transfer window. Amorim having a system will also stop this ridiculous culture of profligacy where United either buy players in positions that don't need upgrading or who are not even upgrades on the players that have, like the recently purchases of Mason Mount and Donny Van De Beek highlughted. I remember one Summer when Van Gaal brought in 3 specialist left backs in Luke Shaw, Daley Blind and Marcos Rojo whilst also having Tyler Blackett when there were positions, particularly in the central midfield where money on just one of those players would have been better spent.
United have had a decade of just a scatter gun approach to buying players in the Summer, however this will all change under Amorim and the fact he has ONE system. Amorim more than ever needs to stick to his system as it will be the only way of turning around the fortunes of this Club, even if that means relegation in the short term. The moment he abandon's this system is the moment I truly think this Club is a complete lost cause. Stick to your guns Bruno Amorim and keep playing 3-5-2. It's not Amorim who should change or adapt his style, its these players that don't have the pace, legs, footballing IQ, technical ability or who are just far too injury prone who need to take a pay cut and leave.
Mason Mount. Casemiro. Luke Shaw. Diogo Dalot. Tyrell Malacia. Victor Lindelof. Andre Onana. Christian Eriksen. Antony. Lisandro Martinez. Rasmus Højlund. Joshua Zirkzee. Bruno Fernandes. Time for you guys to stop stinking Old Trafford out and leave and let this Manager get on with the business of turning this Club around.

    • @irieite9666
      @irieite9666 3 дня назад

It would be better but at the end of the day football management is and always has been a results business.
Let's say they get walloped by Liverpool and then lose / draw to Southampton should he change his style then? If not what if they lose / draw the following game to Brighton?
Eventually if they don't win a match he will just be forced to change or get sacked. That's the way it has always been.
What Ten Hag done was bad for Man United but great for Ten Hag. He got 3 or 4 years of salary out of it rather than just get sacked after a month or so if they continued like they did in those first 2 matches.

      Uniteds recruitment-
We desperately need a left back, a real box to box midfielder and a true number 9, how about Guirassy, Theo and Ederson? Nah, we will just sign De Ligt, Mazraoui and Zirkzee, it's embarrassing, Zirkzee is just average and has never shown anything other than that, he had a freak season with a brilliant Bologna side, who surprised everyone, De Ligt was dropped as soon as any othe centre back was fit and Mazraoui was 4th choice right back at a club that does not have another right back, yoi are 100% correct, the whole recruitment team needs sacking.

It is not that simple. The best decision definitely is what you stated. However how do you do that now as quick as possible considering the club might be in a relegation battle. The most viable option will be to adapt as fast as possible. This is why I never subscribed to employing Amorim in the first place especially during the season with this team. He has to adapt or the club gets him players in january window and they adapt as quick as possible.

One of the major problems that is starting to emerge is that Amorim (LFC dodged a bullet) plays a style for which the squad is not fit. Members of that squad have huge contracts over long periods. Those same players know that if Amorim stays, they will go. There is a battle now to see if the players can get rid of Amorim before he gets rid of them.

They have better players than united and they understood that it would have taken time to make adjustments and adapt. And why should they? They already had a style of play that has been working for them for years and they weren't about to change it.

His "adaptability".... so you want him to play a 4-3-3??? The same formation Ten Hag set losing records with? Do you want a 4-4-2 with players who literally can't run like casemiro & eriksen? This squad is DEAD. 80% of this squad couldn't keep up with the intensity of the championship

Re-hire Erik ten Hag! Ten Hag had a bad season, agreed. He had a bumpy first couple of matches this year, agreed. He had to work with the same bad players and didn’t get the players he wanted. Despite that all, He did bring us 3rd place and 2 cups.. So he managed to get the most out of this squad!
Amorim is juist dreadful. He will not adapt, he will get us relegated. This job is way over his head

There are players at the club tht should be gone before the manger for me. Maguire. Shaw. Casemiro. Mount. Bruno and Rashford if they can get buyers for them they should sell.
Ten hag signings have been terrible spent over 600 million on muck.

When they look to the future of Man Utd need to stop looking at the past. The club isn’t run like it was in the glory years, you need a new model. Just as you can’t always blame the manager you can’t always blame the players, I’ve seen players join this club and the form from previous clubs had magically vanished ???? Why is this??? We’ve seen time and time that heart and passion has been missing. On the team sheet should be better than Newcastle United, however for whatever reason ManU play with no desire, maybe that’s because of the work rate and team ethic that Eddie Howe pushes in his teams ethos. I believe you need a manager that will re-instate that passion desire and workrate, not some high profile tactician. Also, lower your expectations, you’re not the man utd of old and Ferguson was a one-off.

Those bums who booed Zirkzee are a major part of our problem ,and thats a fact .
    Shamefull glory hunters.
There is, and have been worse players than Zirkzee at OT over the years.
How much debt are we in ?
    OT is falling down?
Do you think any player of quality will sign for us without CL football?
Do you think that any of the top 6 clubs will stay stationery while we fall apart ? no way they will be getting better and better.
    We are shot ,big time.
We are in a very very dark place ,and thats a fact .
Anyone who wanted the Rat of Qatar should hang their heads in shame ,"in shame"
Plus Ferguson has "never ever " said one word about the Glazers ,he could have opened his mouth years ago and things would have changed.
