Wow that was fun. I have been thinking to start of as VA. Did not know where to begin but the more i watch your videos the more confidence i gain to start off.
Gosh I love me some Ms. Booth! I’m here in 2024 and I find all your videos so informative and impactful, especially as a newly launched solopreneur VA! ❤️ I’ve been just practicing and binge watching since I discovered you!
Watching from Nigeria. And I love your coaching as I just began my VA journey. I will stick to your channel for more helpful videos. Thank you coach and I hope one day I would become like you 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Enjoyed this video. I worked for a travel blog last year and part of what we did was putting attraction sites in a Rolodex. It ranged from restaurants, hotels, hair stylists, concierge and anything anyone could need when going on vacation😃😃. So, I guess this is a task I will absolutely enjoy. Thanks again, Erin for these engaging videos.
I'm from Philippines and I see a very nice video and your past videos. I am so grateful to see all of your videos ,I have an idea on how VAs does. Thanks a lot my dear
I really appreciate these practice tasks Erin I have done all the task in the playlist these are what I use to build my portfolio. Kindly add some more different practice task.
for me o dint get any at all but I guess its because I'm new to this but then I wont stop practicing. thank you so much Erin Booth. you're my mentor on this VA journey.
@Erin thanks for the video am starting my virtual assistance training week one. And i just wanted to be ahead of the studies to familiarize before i get to the topic on week 4, unfortunately I did get one flight for morning hours at 6am with one stop the non stop button deactivated. you are amazing keep up the good job
Amazing training I wasn't expecting to find this kind of training. you had exceeded my expectations about Youtobe content. you deserved your 10k visualization and like also people come on! Blessings!!
Hey Erin, I am so grateful I found you in Udemy. Love the way you organize your teachings. Sharing your experience with us. You make it sound so fun. I am also looking to become a VA. Having found you in the beginning of this journey, is GREAT! Thanks!!!

Hi Erin, Love this. Can you please suggest how I can add this and other practice tasks to my portfolio? What method do you recommend to showcase it effectively? Would love to hear from you. xx
Hi Erin! Thank you for sharing your valuable knowledge. Love it! But I have a struggle to find Fee Assistant on Kayak to add Checked Bag (request from client on task 2), I didn't see the checked bag menu on my Kayak display. Can you help me to find it? Thank you.
@Erin booth I just did the first task today. I watched your answer, and I got the booking correctly. There were no non-stop flights on Jetblue on this day as of today. All I could see were 1 layover and the client specifically mentioned non-stop. At this moment, my action plan is to write to the client that there is no non-stop rather 1 stop layover for 1hr 25 mins landing at 8:20pm, 1 hr 33 mins landing at 11:20pm, 38 mins and 45 mins layover and they are landing the next day with screenshot of them attached for better understanding. Then I await her response What do you think of my answer? I await your response. Would you please explain how you did that screenshot. I tried doing it on my system, and it appeared as copying. Thank you
Hi Erin, I own a travel agency business since 2019 and definitely not to brag but this steps are always on my lists and are so easy for me. I am looking for a job but I just don't know where I can find a VA-travel jobs.
something that really surprised me is you going back with flight options. Ive always judged myself as incompetent for not taking these simple decision on behalf of my client to save them time and any back and forth because i feel like they could easily have found those options too
Hey Erin, thanks for the video, it really shed light on things! I've got a question though. Once we've sorted out the flight, hotel, restaurants, and others, do we go ahead and make the bookings up to the payment stage? Or do we just present the options to our clients based on their needs?
Present your findings, then you’ll book everything based on your client’s decisions. Remember though that when you book on their behalf, you’ll use their name, date of birth, their frequent flier accounts, and pay using their credit card.
@@ErinBooth Can you make a video on Step by step instructions on how to go through the process of using client's credit card, frequent flyer miles etc...
This is such a helpful video! I definitely want to add travel management to my list of services. Do you have any advice on pricing this? I’m unsure how I could charge hourly for this. Thank you :)
Depends entirely on your experience, your current skills, your location, etc. When I first started as a VA, I charged $20/hour for travel mgmt. Over the years, I've raised it to $25, then $35, and now I charge $50. To HELP ME get to $50/hour, however, I had to niche within travel. I recommend that you consider a niche like luxury travel, or custom business travel. This allows you to become an expert and charge higher rates.
Erin your explanation was very clear and easy to follow I am a beginner my question is can I use your example i am going to repeat it and when finished i am going to take a screenshot of it and to put in my portfolio as experience?
Thanks for the video Erin, I enjoyed it. The challenge here is prices change quite frequently, any little delay on the part of the client could affect the price, what do you do as a VA in that instance, hold the price?
what are reliable sources i can know which airlines are bad? (preferably not limited to US) I did a quick research and found BA was designated as the worst, yet you selected it twice so not sure if my search was reliable
Go with the airlines that your client prefers. Over the years, BA has gone down in terms of service, but they're generally a good airlines. I don't 1 main source of good vs. bad, but it helps to do a quick google search of the airlines before booking (particularly if you haven't heard of it before).
I usually try to be straightforward like “there are limited options on x date” or “there’s only one nonstop flight available on this day.” Then I let them decide what to do.
I got the second too and I used Kayak Great!! I feel so good You are doing it exactly as I did Thank you so much I am a beginner virtual assistant and I have been doubtful about my capabilities but you are making my confidence increase
So this is basically what virtual assistance groups do? I thought like it was something AI-related that is used by corporations or whatever for work-related things. Not trytng to sound critical here, but wasnt the smartphone supposed to make VA groups obsolete? Or did we become so lazy that we cant do something as mundane as booking a flight? But if there's one for general types of things, that means there's gotta be VA groups that others employ to find them a Tinder hookup or Bumble date or a Grindr rendevous
This made me laugh. VA = remote executive assistant and no, this is not only what we do. We handle and all admin needs for clients, whether they're large companies or startups. And you have to remember that a CEO juggling a thousand things does not have 3 additional hours to research travel details, compare rates, and call the airlines if there's an issue.
Hi! Have you ever found yourself in a situation where clients trust you with their credit card info and want you to book everything? What do you do in a situation like this?
I actually ask all my clients to give me their credit cards so that I can book everything. That's the ideal! Just be sure to store their information in a password manager like Bitwarden or 1Password

something that really surprised me is you going back with flight options. Ive always judged myself as incompetent for not taking these simple decision on behalf of my client to save them time and any back and forth because i feel like they could easily have found those options too
I always select 3 options for clients. Clients often have personal to do's or events that we are unaware of so it helps to give options.

Either site works well! I use skyscanner as well!
Thanks for the video Erin, I enjoyed it. The challenge here is prices change quite frequently, any little delay on the part of the client could affect the price, what do you do as a VA in that instance, hold the price?
You're absolutely right. Best I do is remind clients that prices change. If they get bit by higher fees, that's on them!
These tasks are super duper helpful! Thank You! I have a question, why don't we normally include bags option unless specified?
Great Q - no bags unless specified because more often than not, airlines will charge extra $ for booking oversized bags ahead of time.
