the "random gods" that plays in the rot

- there's something really kind of tragic about it, the insane god machine in such a state, even the general systems bus, which in the base game felt so unconquerable, so safe away, its quite unsettling that even it has been swallowed up and forgotten
The original Random Gods portrayed power and strength, but also fear and confusion. The sound of trillions of thoughts and ideas racing through the complex. But none of them make sense.
This version is more tranquil. Five Pebbles has made his choice, he no longer wants to run from his mistakes, and now accepts his fate. The sound of trillions of thoughts and ideas from before have now been reduced to only thousands as systems fail. All still scared and confused, but at peace.

At this point, Five Pebbles fully believes there's no chance for him to survive. Attempts to remove the rot have failed, and now he's faced with the full realization of both his inescapable deterioration, and the destruction he's caused to Big Sis Moon.
This is the sound of a mind that is facing the consequences of it's past, and knows that because of it's actions, it WILL fall apart.
He knows that he's dying.
Good writing
The Rot region has always made me feel sick to my stomache, it was so depressing and felt so wrong. Somewhere I once knew now reduced to a maze of glitchy buzzing, hearing this just feels so wrong after being so used to the regular tune.
This sounds like pure agony. It sounds dragged and strained, like he is desperately trying to stay awake through the pain. It sounds like he is fighting the urge to cry. It sounds beaten and torn to nothing but shreds. It sounds truly horrified of what his mistakes have led to.
this audio also can be found in the house of braids, those little cpu rooms have this on a lower pitch and slower
Hearing it so distorted is kind of freaky if I'll be honest. I wonder how bad the GSB looks if the tune that plays is that broken...
I love this game so much sometimes…
@@thecompypack6124 yeah
i think the GSB is completely overtaken by the rot at this point. Making it completely unrecogniseable

ive never commented on this, but it's nice to see theres more people seeing this now! its so cool, and its a shame most dont know about it
plus it kinda reminds me of how moondown is a distorted version of sundown, which makes me have thoughts that are really hard to put into coherent terms
Tbh, I did not expect the video to start poping off like it did
this feels like fp is screaming at you
At myself.
I like the addition of the powering on and off
I have just checked, this is also present in Artificer campaign, and probably every other one
It is distorted version you can hear only in Rivulet's Campaign
Yep, I didn’t notice it at first but that’s right, SFX-RandomGods also plays in places such as the 12th council pillar, though this is the only one that has this pitch
@@explosive1984 I know but it is still present at 0 volume in other campaigns
this is really good
You know, I kinda wished the melody was changed from Pictures of the Past to one of the threat themes, as a twisted form of telling the player “Abandon all hope, ye who enters here”
It's... not pictures of the past
@@jessiesowterit is a distorted version of it, listen closely
@@somedudewhoexistsit's a distorted version of sundown, if you compare it to moondown you can tell
@@davisjian8250 yup
@@davisjian8250 sure the "home" track is sundown, but pictures of the past uses the same chord progression... and the song is pretty much *just* the chord progression
This gave me the chills
Rotten Gods
How to people find these? its so amazing the detail the devs put into every little thing.
I like it!
Is this normally unused? or do you have to stand in that one spot?
It's just really quiet.
It really shows how powerless Pebbles has become over his creation and himself
