We Were Promised Jetpacks (abbr. WWPJ) is an Indie Rock band who've been writing and performing together for over 15 years. The Scottish quartet has bounced around in the realms of heavy post rock, anthemic stadium rock, reflective ballads and laid-back indie tunes showcasing the dexterous musicianship at the core of their rich sound.

The outro of "Hanging In" is the best part of the whole record. It's an absolutely incredible build up and it's even better hearing it live.
Would definitely recommend seeing these guys if you find out they're playing in your city. Always a great time!
These guys are insanely consistent. I remember hearing one of their earlier albums and keeping it on repeat when I was still in high-school. I had lost track of them for a while afterwards, but it makes me really happy to see them still together making something still very true to their roots yet still refreshing.
