That is exactly why Sting took him under his wing. Returning to Darby what was done for Sting in his early NWA/WCW years and Sting was faithful to WCW right up to the last WCW broadcast. Darby has that type of commitment to AEW. It's rare in wrestling today.

Darby Allin vs Jon Moxley at AEW Grand Slam is going to be a good one. They had some amazing matches in the early episode of Dynamite a few years back. Jon Moxley should bring back his New Japan Pro Wrestling gear to fit his Death Rider Theme.

You can feel the passion in Darby Alin's voice when he talks about his past experiences, and his introduction to wrestling. Once he gets to the point where he is now, you KNOW how this kid, now man, had to bust his @ss to get where he is, and how he does truly love what he does, Wrestling. You can see it in his matches, and you can hear it in his words. And he is so right about how so many wrestlers have 'sold out" Guys like the Sh*tstain Kid Shawn Michelle, hhh, and Hulk Hogan, the biggest sell out of them all!! When Darby wrestles, he ALWAYS gives 150%! He's not the biggest guy as far as his build, his height, or his weight, but he absolutely has the biggest heart of anyone. Which is why I've gained a lot of respect for Darby. I hope he can someday win the AEW World's Heavyweight Championship Belt.

In this one special case though...I have my doubts, I think Darby genuinely non-kayfabe adores Sting too much to allow or contemplate it, I think he'd shoot that booking down. They have a very intense protectiveness of each other irl and in the ring.
