Trident should be far more successful and popular than they are. But I have given up on trying to work out why some bands and singers make the superstar level while my favourite bands are brilliant and successful but there are as yet no statues in City squares or some cult attached to them. The song works well and is very much in their comfort zone. The MV is nothing wonderful but is fun. I hope they continue to enjoy and look as if they are enjoying the music. Personally I put them second only to Band Maid. Love listening to them and will just accept that the statues will one day be built.
I feel there is something about both Trident and Band-Maid that is inviting, but more rewards the listener who is listening. Who is absorbed. These are not good background bands, and fame on the statue level requires you also please the greater number of listeners with the less deep interest. The listener who listens whilst doing something else. Nothing against that kind of mass appeal music, but Trident are set to always have B Tier numbers, but A* Tier Fan Loyalty 😊.
