No movie is ever the same as the book.. They had to make it fit into an hour and forty some minutes.. Part two will be just as good as the first one! Cant wait!
I agree! books are so much better. We however, can dream though It could be as long as the new Avengers movie or dare I say Twilight ( I SO DIDNT SAY THAT). However longer movies make for better details and I hope that they give us a little more. I loved the books and I hope they can capture a LITTLE bit more of the inside story of Tessa and Hardin

Is it weird that I’m scared for the 2nd one 😂 I think its because of how the first one ended and I’ve been watching little snippets of after we collided. *Spoiler (not really)* In after we collided, it looked as if Tessa hooked up with Trevor (Dylan Sprouse). I may have misunderstood the scene, but it looked really sketchy 😂

This movie makes me cryyyyy...the book was amazing and I really can’t compare them both...they’re different but they rly describe the story well...I love the fact that in the movie, the part when Hardin says Tessa was who he loved the most is in the essay..it adds so much dimensions and it’s so powerful

After watching the After - I didn't care that People at the cinema starring at me - I literally screamed "Somebody throw me the 2nd movie!"

If you read the book just know this is going to be sooooo different like legit so different so don’t think about the book when you go see it. I was slightly disappointed because I loved the book so much I reread it many times over the years one of my favorites on Wattpad. I hope they make the 2nd movie with better detail & more like the book.
Thats were i fault myself, i went and watched the movie and the whole time i thought of the book. When i got out of the theaters i felt like i didnt enjoy the film because i guess i was expecting a complete book adaptation. But i believe if i watch the movie again i would love it. I mean i just keep watchong clips and i love them. So i just think i have to give the movie another chance. Though i do love the acting and cast.

Yes another 3 or 4 movies need to be made and, they need to be rated R. They need to pick up from where the book left off, if they don't i fear things will get complicated. The movie already left out so much from the book. I understand Movies aren't as good as books but there was a complicated relationship in that book with a lot of events they missed. What got me was the bonfire scene I was like umm this is NOT how it happened in the book. I hope they make more movies and they need to follow the book. Hopefully they will come out fast!

I enjoyed seeing some scenes from the book. I like who they chose as Harden and Tessa. But the movie is missing the disfunction and toxicness of their relationship. The movie is very watered down in a lot of ways.
You're right those missing details made me disappointed when i saw the film
yes yes yessss I agree. I feel like the emotionally exhausting part of their relationship is what makes the pay off at the end worth it. without tessa's relationship with zed and the back and forth push and pull they constantly repeat, these characters are kind of left one dimensional😭 and I hate that because there's so much more to Harden than one stupid bet.

I already knew they were making a sequel bc they made it official this Valentine’s Day but when she said “at least one sequel or more” I started SHAKING so does that mean there could be more after the 2nd one I’m actually going to cry
the movie was brilliant, i must say, that acting and dialogue was amazing. however, the ending should have been slightly better and i really hope there is a sequel as i fell we need to advance our knowledge on the background of the characters, personality and behaviors. Overall, i really enjoyed the movie.

Although Landon from the first movie was a great actor I feel like the second Landon for the other movies fits better.
