wheel covers are from a '71 or '72. 1973 had unique smooth finish wheel covers.
I bow to your knowledge. Teach me your ways!
Yup! You’re right. I was just thinking that same thing.
That’s the first thing I noticed. My dad had a new one in 73 . For as original as this car is make it a10 with the correct wheel covers
These cars were so much fun to drive back then! I was a young college boy but still loved these land yachts where all the bumps were smoothed out. Nothing like my SUV now. Best wishes from the Houston-Galveston area!
People who weren't around in the days when these cars were on the road don't know how comfortable these rides were. You felt like you were on a boat in the water. Passengers could easily nap in these cruisers.
Gotta’ love the era of the 10 feet-per-gallon American cars.
The best cars came out of this era , well really the best everything lol 🤣
@@TheDetailLabTx I HOPE you’re joking‼️. The 70’s⁉️🤯🤣
What a machine. An airplane on the road, that's how comfortable these are.
Magnificent! The most gorgeous front end Cadillac ever made
Loved these Cadillac years😊😊😊😊
When I sold cars I told my customers there are cars , then there are automobiles , these were automobiles!
Unreal. Looks as tho' it's 1973 and it's heading out to the showroom. What a gem.
The condition that is in, quite frankly is astonishing. Lovely vehicle.
And exceptionally nice example and wonderful condition. But one thing I know for a fact those are the 71 through 72 hubcaps. They were not offered in 73. They were a solid dish and spokes were gone and it's got aftermarket floor mats
Yes!!! I saw that too! But I love them still! But yea… I’m favoring the flat dish caps for sure! And another thing that may sound odd…. But the windshield wiper metal arms are original …. That’s big to me. I hate modern looking wipers on a vintage car. They look so outta place when changed. That vinyl top is a collectors dream!!!
Excellent color for a Caddy.
That is a beautiful car I love it
Stunning .. would be a great date night or daily driver really
My buddy had the same 73 with the same paint n interior. Miss that car!
Makes me miss my ‘73 Fleetwood with rich brown leather. Car was Rootbeer Brown with a Cream Vinyl Top and all the goodies. I spent in 1978 $70 a week in gas. As a 17 year old I lived in the car when I wasn’t working which was almost 60 miles round trip daily. As Gas went over $1 a gallong in 1980 I decided to trade for a new car and let the old gas money I spent pay for the new car. Didn’t work out that way.
That color is classy.
Had one in late '84, it was at least that nice. I paid $1200 for it.
I purchased it from the original owners. Had 62 or 64 k on the odometer.
I replaced the belts, hoses, tuned it up and the alternator was going out so I replaced it. Best used car I ever owned.
27 gallon tank, gas was .86 a gallon. 😂
I have the exact same car. Except mine has original hubcaps and wheels covers. Top is in perfect condition. Mine has the original sun roof. Limited slip rear end. Full leather no printed fabric. Outside Thermostats on the side mirrors. Original Window sticker says just over $10,700. delivery papers and maintenance records. Was delivered to Anchorage, Ak and then trailered up to Fairbanks, Ak.
Fun car.
Man I'd love to see yours ...Be nice if you could do a video..... It's rare to see them with the factory sun roof...... I suspect yours has the passenger side mirror also......
@@thomascoleman3169 the vanity mirror?
@@Igloo_papi Passenger side rear view mirror....... It was not a standard option...... After 73 yes
$ 10,700 for a new Cadillac......Wow.
Thermometers on the mirrors, not thermostats
All original except the wheel covers and floor mats. But, it's still a beautiful car and in excellent condition. I'd take it !!!
Brings back memories. My parents brought a '73 Sedan de Ville brand new. Specially ordered in a lovely gold color, black vinyl top, with maize color leather interior. Had all the Caddy factory options including some rare ones like Twilight Sentinel and Guide Matic lights, 8 track player, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, sunroof, outside thermometer, and lighted vanity mirror.
I don't remember exactly what it cost, but it served us well and my parents kept it until it was traded in for a new '77 Fleetwood Brougham, which was also a beautiful car.
What a beauty....the year before the enclosed back side windows. Wish they kept the true hardtop style into the late 70s. I have a 78 coupe deville and I wish the back windows were like this where they can be rolled down
I have just like this car with a white exterior and red interior. Driving it feels like you’re in an aircraft carrier.
My stepdad had a gorgeous white '73 SDV. I drove it inside boot camp. Lol.
MY GOD!!!!!!!! How much!!!!!! I’d sell a kidney for this jewel!!!!! I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED A ‘73!!!!! DAMN DAMN DAMN!!!! Yes!!!! The horn is a symphony!!!!! My grandmother had a 73 deVille in dusty gold/beige….. DAMN I WANT THIS!!!! Love this color scheme!!!!! 😃😃😃😃😃😃
It's a beautiful car for sure
I hope you find one!!
Love it..... Done nicely..... Doesn't have both of the emblems on the front of the hood which I think looks gaudy..... It's either one or the other...... Too bad they did not opt for the passenger side mirror, That always sucks when I see them like this because unfortunately it was a option..... But yes absolutely beautiful I love the paint color, Very conservative yet elegant.... Thank you for sharing
Dad had a blue one. Damn, that thing was nice on the highway. It produced an insane amount of heat, however.
Caddy clean , bro
Seeing these cars it just reminds me of the mob lol they loved these cars.
They are absolutely the best
What a gem……!!!!!
Hi-Low horn, great feature.
1973 was a record year for Cadillac. 1973 was also the year that our standard of living in the United States peaked.
Makes me.miss my 1979 Sedan De Ville. 10.6 MPG intown and 16.7 MPG on the highway. Like riding on a cloud.
Oh how I love this color and year. One of my favorites! All Cadillacs had this duel note horn. Luxury
Such a fun car to work on
@@TheDetailLabTx yes still simple back in those days and cheaper to work on. I’d love to own it. I’m looking for either a 73 or 79. Coupe Deville in excellent low mileage condition or a Olds 98 Regency Coupe 1972-76 with low miles. The best damn luxury car made in my opinion of that era.
It was not a dual note, but a trumpet horn ( an option).
What an elegant vehicle. I wish I could rent one.
I learned to drive in one of these in 1976. My first car was a '67 R/S Camaro, but wanted mom's Cadillac.
This Caddy is sweet smooth and sassy and one of my favorites of Cadillacs.
Definitely would make a amazing daily driver
What a beautiful piece
Just gorgeous!
LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THIS CAR, & DAT WAS JUST A 2 DOOR, NOW, DAT'S THE WAY 2 RIDE, N COMPLETE COMFORT. I ALWAYS LOVED THE WAY THE HORN SOUNDED
Beautiful. Live it live 72’s too
Great color coordination!
The horn doesn't sound right. It should be a dual note. Either one is disconnected, or someone swapped it out. Beautiful car. My father had one in Mystic brown.
Classy color combo
Nice
Nice.
Perfect
It's 9.5. incorrect hub caps incorrect floormats
I have the matching 73 4 door in Texas! Green interior tho
Siccccck
LOL... so here we have a 11 passenger car, 6 in the cab, 5 in the trunk... 😂
Pretty much
The 1973 Fleetwoods, Calias and DeVilles have the most gorgeous front end/grill in Cadillac history! The interiors were pretty lame, however unless you got leather or the Fleetwood.
This thing is next to perfect on the inside ..
@@TheDetailLabTx The interior looks like it just came off the assembly line! truly amazing. That being said, the interior isn't very luxurious compared to the floating pillow velour or leather interiors that came later in the decade or even the leather option for the Deville.
Olds 98 Regency for 72 had The most luxurious interior with beautiful Velour pillow tough seats in box and other amenities. Nobody beat that 98 interior until a few years later! I do like this 73 a lot otherwise.
This had to of been garaged. 73 was a very bad yr for sheet metal. A friend bought one used in 80 as a project, was in great condition, never got to the project, sat in driveway for 1 yr, rust appeared out of nowhere and ate the car 😮.
This is a very beautiful car. Is it for sale and if so. What is the money for it?
I wish I wouldn't have let it leave the shop lol
💪💪💪
@Detail lab tx==Last of these seen around 1989 as we allways give AMERICAN BUILT CARS 15/16 YEAR RUNS!!! That infamous NOVEMBER 22,1963 date of JFK if you look closely at actual films of that day you,ll see PLENTY OF 1947*48*49 CARS PASSING BY!!! A good 16/15/14 year period!!!!
حلو❤
What do you use on the vinyl top on 1 of these rides?
We ceramic coat them
I wondered if a ceramic coating can be applied over 1 stage laquer paint. I thought about trying that on a test area of one of my Cadillac's but I was a bit leery about doing that. One bad thing about lacquer is it gets paint checking so would the coating mask it or highlight it more? Mmmm I can just smell the carbon monoxide coming out of the exhaust. Mafia cars were great for that feature before the cat converter. One just never knew when you would need some monoxide.
Really depends on the quality on the single stage . I don't recommend it on most single stage cars if they haven't been cared for properly but this one was a great candidate.
@@TheDetailLabTxso in other words it’s a complete crapshoot.
@@Samuelfish2k yes that's why most single stage paints do get a coating from us ... We have to really look them over and go over the death and quality of the paint
@@TheDetailLabTx Thanks for the reply. Keep up the good work and happy new year👍🏽
Too bad it doesn't have all black leather🤷♂️
I had one with the same interior🤦♂️
If you're going to profile a car like that and make sure the antenna works
Gorgeous car with my favorite seat fabric
Sounds like it's running high rpm, try tapping the gas pedal.
What motor does it have? The 472 or the 500?
472 cid………
472. In those years the 500 was exclusive to El Dorado and Fleetwood 75 series. Not the Fleetwood Sedan but the Fleetwood 75
I have the sales brochure for 1973 and there is no mention of engine size or any engine specs. I always thought the '73's had the 500. Learned something new!
It wasn't until 1975 that the 500s became standard on the Devilles
I HAD ONE IN CALIFORNIA.
EXCEPT - IT WAS WHITE.
Is this Cadillac for sale?
Land yacht !
80 Spoke Daytons

Ok pal thats 72 hub caps

You said the same thing about the 1992 Brougham Fleetwood Cadillac 5.7 the rear bumper is a fake so people buy from them you're getting fakes you're getting cars that are most likely an accident
Hahaha what are u talking about 😂
off By 1/2 a year
