This is one of those fixes that when you see it you can't believe how easy it is to fix. I will demonstrate how to fix an uneven or crooked cordless blind where the bottom rail is not level.

For those who have roman shades -- this works, but it's easier and more precise to reach behind the blinds while they're open, grab the strings near the top rail, and do this motion directly on the strings themselves.
First time having cordless blinds and it was driving me nuts how uneven they were. I tried lifting them up all the way and pulling them down slowly and evenly to no avail. My partner said that it was just the nature of blinds and unfixable. After watching this video, I fixed it in a minute. Thank you.

Absolute mind blown... I'm like yeah right because mine looked stretched from one side as if it were loose. It looked so tacky and was nerve racking. My blinds are also very wide and i gave it a shot and IT WORKED!!!!

On mine, the string had jumped the spool in the (spring loaded) take-up mechanism and then slightly wrapped itself around the axle. It took some time and patience to fix. I nearly blundered in a way that would have realeased all the tension. Fortune prevailed. The only damage, if any, was to the topmost slat (that may have already been broken). As I was prepared to replace the blind, pressure was low. Out of maybe three previous attempts at this kind of repair, I think this was the first success. Good Luck.

This is so simple I can't believe I've never thought to try it! I usually like to trim mini blinds to length which as you said also would take care of it, but I've been putting off doing that to fix a set in the kitchen that's been crooked since it went up. Fixed now, and I suppose I can live with some extra slats at the bottom.
I am still stumped why the manufacturers don't call out this fix since the problem is pretty common 🤷♂️

Ok, the aggressive pull is key! Couldn’t get one of my blinds even, even after trying to raise one end and lower the other. But saw this, tried it with an aggressive jerk and voila! Fixed! Thank you SO much!

It's not perfect, and it is a bit of an art form to do the cordless blind dance correctly. (The Tango is easier.) but it does help immensely.
Much better than alternate plans I tried, like jacking up one side of the house, or drinking a lot. The second alternate works quite well, when the world looks off, the blinds are perfect....

When you're a little OCD about things such as uneven blinds, this is the cure for it!
Ocd doesn't mean "unsymetrical things drive me nuts"
It's more like "if I don't fix my blinds my neighbors will talk crap about me to my boss and I'll loose my job because I can't keep up my house, then ill be forclosed on and live on the street" then proceeds to fix all the blinds on your house, knowing full well you don't even have neighbors, and you sure don't have a job that would ever know or care about it

Good grief…where have you been the past 12 years!! I’ve taken my blinds down, tightened the string, replaced the crooked blinds…with blinds that were even WORSE! I decided today to take them down but found you just in time!! Thank you…THANK YOU!!!!

Thank you thank you thank you. What an easy fix. I was ready to take my mini blinds down, rehang them or take them apart somehow and probably throw them in the trash😂😂. This was super easy.
Turns out my cellular shades had a little twist in the line, and it caused a small knot. A little tricker but once I found it I was able to pull the knot out with an automotive hook tool

Thanks for the video tip. I believe this tip will only work on cordless style blinds where you push up or pull down the blinds itself. Corded blinds are more difficult to balance because of the cord mechanism.

Nice! This worked with my 2.5" blinds with about a 6" slant on them. I did this trick 2 times in a row and it fully corrected the issue. Thanks for the video!

the left side is very tight and the right side is loose. This happened after I shortened the blinds, and at first I had taken the string out of the plug on the left, then realized that was for a corded blind after I couldn't get the string out of the right plug and checked another video. After that the left side cord kept wanting to move up (and left several of the remaining slats) while the right side of the blinds remained loose. It was a huge battle. I tried to even them out as best I could, but the end result is, nice shorter blinds but the left side remains 5" higher. I tried your method, very hopefully, but no success, unless I am not pulling hard enough on the left, though it's so tight I'm afraid something will break.
to clarify, the shortening was done following other videos, and my end result led me to your video.
when I pull the left one down all the way, and they are even, as soon as I let go of it, it jumps back up the 5"

I did try this hoping it work but not having luck with it. Perhaps I am not pulling hard enough? Suggestions please!
