I find it hard to believe that an individual who has the intellectual capacity to become CEO of NSE takes instructions from a yogi to run the enterprise. It maybe the two of them have conjured up this spin to rip off the company & split the proceeds.

Lala ji u have not made attempt to uncover this apparently huge huge scam. Can such things happen without connivance of Board of NSE in position during relevant periods. Then the regulator Sebi seemingly not undertaking timely investigation followed by remedial actions and taking 9 years to conclude this scam with penalty after the matter came to public knowledge. And who was the Finance minister and concerned bureaucrats in the finance ministry at relevant period🤔.

I find it shocking and somewhat distressing that a well educated and qualified woman like Chitra Ramakrishna fell for the confidence trick, ruined her career, and reputation. She has made herself a laughing stock before the world. Such irresponsible conduct also brings disrepute to Yogic traditions of India. This is an all round loss. I am glad that I wasn’t into trading in stocks and shares during her Durbar.

The yogic tradition has been a part of controversy and jokes for quite some now with Osho, and Bikram in the US (Both earned Netflix documentaries in their name too) and the likes of Baba ramdev in India.

I don’t get you. He didn’t mention Modi govt, he said that that “divine force” instructed her to meet the PM and others in 2015. How is any Govt culpable in this? No one can know what you do in your personal life. It is just another example of how stupid most of us can be when it comes to babas and the like. She was most probably a learned person, but she had a conman running her life for her. Which shows the gullibility of people in India when it comes to these people. Trust me, living in a rural area, I know first hand how gullible people can be. They can believe anything coming out of a person’s mouth if he wore saffron clothes or just looked like a yogi. This case just shows how desperately we want to believe in everything extraordinary, and don’t subscribe to logic even when it is most apparent.

Really loved to see Shekharji in his natural flow - after a long time. NSE affair is a serious issue. It will happen in the Kaliyuga. In fact, when we look deeply into today's India, many of our leaders and leading personalities are guided by such 'holy men'. We can't do anything about it. So, hold tight, and enjoy the ride.

Some points possibly missed out / not highlighted by SG. 1. Chita Ramakrishna (CR) has been working with SEBi since late 1980s. 2. CR was involved in the automation process Almost since inception. 3. Co-location of servers was permitted in NSE around 2009. 4. Some brokers in collusion with some employees of NSE exploited the arrangement. 5. The misuse came to the fore in 2015 through a whistle blower 6. CR “case” is as reported and possibility of further. Misuse of power is under investigation. 7. The SEBI (regulating body) is under fire for treating the whole matter lightly through its report released last week.

this is a classic case of what happens when irrationality and religion gain too much socio-political capital. People stop questioning stupid and irrational actions simply because they are spiritual or religious. One could pull of almost anything and face no accountability at all in the name of religion. That is why blaspheming and ridiculing religion should be common and bullshit laws like 295a should be dumped. People should have the freedom to ridicule the ridiculous religious or otherwise.
One additional piece of information that I saw in the sebi order is the appointment of Anand subramanian’s wife as a consultant . Her contract start day is same as her husband . She also had 13 years of experience in NSE before this position . And the plot thickens !

On Himalayan Yogi's suggestion Anand Subramanian was appointed as Strategy officer and Consultant. No background check was done! A top organisation like NSE doing all this! Doesn't the company HR have a moral responsibility to question when laid down procedures are not followed in the matter of recruitment of highly paid individuals. They cannot simply close their eyes and claim that it is MDs decision. They have a responsibility too. HR has failed in my view.
It might also be appropriate to go through the process by which Som / Chitra Ramakrishna was appointed as MD & CEO earlier. Did the same Himalayan Yogi prompt someone else at that time to appoint her as the MD?
