Arto was always my fave. I used to watch this on VHS before sessions, like 99-00 era. Arto’s parts in sorry and really sorry absolutely insane! Glad he won skater of the year, arto absolutely killed it.
Arto is legendary, this was one of the most innovative parts ever made. Taking technical tricks to huge obstacles and doing it with robot precision. His part in Sorry a couple of years later was even more polished. Arto is an absolute beast, makes me want to skate everytime!
When I was a little kid, just learning about different grinds (basic ones), I thought the krooked grind was the coolest thing in the whole world. Years later, this part came out and was the perfect example of how sick the basic krooked grind is. Every single one in this part is just beautiful.
still today this part, makes me wana skate so hard... arto ripped that shit so hard. the finnish skate king.... was the vid, where salabansi showed his sick skills to... its just an epic vid allround, with the best of the best. at the time
I remember being so blown away with how sick Arto was and how jampacked it was with heavy tricks. Add that with the song, the way French Fred shot it and chopped it together, just legendary part, brings back so many memories!
OMG front board down el toro! so sick! such a true skater right, might not of gotten as recognised as much as all the other skaters but he is one of my favorite! ♥
definitely history arto is on a different level and always has been i like the technical ability of arto over most any other skater he shows you things on full scale handrails no curbs for arto love how he usually uses less speed and balances more delicately
My favorite Arto part ever, this made him my favorite skater. The style he had on both street and transitions...and that CKY song "Testing"! (Foreign Objects "Test it Out" instrumental, but whatever). I remember you had to pause the credits on the DVD with perfect timing to see the name of the song.
How many other people have skated El Toro at night!? It's crazy how much this holds up after multiple decades. Arto was my favorite skater. His and Rowley's part in Feedback was so good too.
This is one of my favorite parts in any skate video ever!!! Arto destroys!!! The song is a CKY song!!! I cant remember the name of the song but a friend and I used to jam this song out on guitar and drums. The nostalgia is real!!!!
AL Too bad most of what kids these days are watching is vloggers who skate. And then there 10 parts and 1000 clips out everyday, they don't have time to appreciate.
Arto was one of my favorites growing up. I loved that his sorry part started with 6 clips where he did a trick regular tgan switch. It made me want to get my switch game on point like that
whe I was young I didn't realize how good arto was, now, several years later I realize even if it is 11 yrs old, still better than a lot of the newest video.
I still remember going to the premier of this. They did like a skatepark premiere tour. No pros came they just showed the video on a big screen. Super cool as a teen to go to.
yeah i loved that shoe i had it in white and a little blueish. he wears the koston one alot also! i always used es back in those days with the exeption of marc johnsons emerica shoe i loved that one you know with the big M on the side!
The way he can stand on grinds and slides for so long is just something else. If friction was not a factor he could probably travel round the world on a back lip
Stephen Imsong They are back. eS has been back for around a year, maybe longer. They have a few models out with limited colorways every season. Some online shops have them (Tactics), but I think eS are mostly sold in "core" skate shops now. Oh yeah, and it's just "team" edition shoes now. No pro models. To my knowledge, they do not have a pro team and do not plan to have a team.
in this time... jamie thomas, tony hawk, deawon song, rodney mullen, rick mc crank, andrew reynolds, heath kichart, jeremy klein, ali boulala, even hernades, john cardiel... they inspired me
one of the best street skater of all time
He was top notch in his time. Even compared to today I think a lot of his footage holds up.
GOOD COMMENT ❤🎉
This part is a masterpiece. Incredible filming, editing and skating. They dont make parts like this anymore
Arto was always my fave. I used to watch this on VHS before sessions, like 99-00 era. Arto’s parts in sorry and really sorry absolutely insane! Glad he won skater of the year, arto absolutely killed it.
I think of Arto every year on my birthday...because we have the same birthday
i'm so stoked this is up
Same
Arto is fuckin amaizing. Its unbeliavable
What’s up John Hill?!
Made front boards and crooks so coveted by all skaters of that time
I don't understand how someone can dislike this video part. Fucking classic. Legendary.
Gotta love that red VHS. first skate video i ever bought. watched this and thought damn, the music behind Arto's part set a standard for timing.
Notice, the whole video was without lyrics, except for the montage park section that had some kind of singing from India....
this was my first skate video too!!!
I really love how he skate switch
i think menikmati is the first skateboarding video i ever saw. it's amazing.always will be.
Fuckin historic part
yes in fucking deed
I still catch myself whistling this song when I'm fucking around. Great video mane!
This part really changed skateboarding.
Patrick Hanlon this and about all of Flip Sorry

Hands down the best skater of all times. Without a doubt.
Arto caused a new zeitgeist in skating. Switch, pop, and balance with your body on the line.
My all time fav skater and part. He really raised the bar
One of my favorite parts ever.
Love the music, and the skating really fits it.
I remember being so blown away with how sick Arto was and how jampacked it was with heavy tricks. Add that with the song, the way French Fred shot it and chopped it together, just legendary part, brings back so many memories!
1:23 is the spot at Pasila, Helsinki railway station. Same spot where Chris Cole fought with the Finnish bum during the Europe tour with DC team.
OMG front board down el toro! so sick! such a true skater right, might not of gotten as recognised as much as all the other skaters but he is one of my favorite! ♥
2:35 one of the most beautiful bs crooks
Deserves 10m views at least. Epic video and epic skateboarder 🙌
Nostolgia at its finest!!!
Yup
Yep
definitely history arto is on a different level and always has been i like the technical ability of arto over most any other skater he shows you things on full scale handrails no curbs for arto love how he usually uses less speed and balances more delicately
CKY instrumental. Amazing part, still have this on VHS!
i still have his thrasher skater of the year award and his shoes... holy hell that es team was so sick
Maybe the greatest team ever and video
Something about this part always gives me shivers. So crazy for the time.
I use to rent this vhs every weekend from my local skateshop when i was like 11...the golden era of feel good skateboarding
His nollie heel at 4:59 is the smoothest thing I've ever seen. My VCR had slow motion button on it and I'd watch this over and over in super slow mo.
This dudes switch is fucking clean. Everything's clean. Such a good part !
1:40 the speed at which he hits that rail is insane!!
How many other people have skated El Toro at night!? It's crazy how much this holds up after multiple decades. Arto was my favorite skater. His and Rowley's part in Feedback was so good too.
he was always my favorite skater and I still think this was his best part.
CKY - Testing was the perfect music for this Legendary Part!!
This would still be a gnarly part over ten years later! thats how you know its one of the greatest ever!
This is one of my favorite parts in any skate video ever!!! Arto destroys!!! The song is a CKY song!!! I cant remember the name of the song but a friend and I used to jam this song out on guitar and drums. The nostalgia is real!!!!
It’s called testing by cky
I wonder if there's a modern video part that gets today's kids as pumped as this part got me in my early teens.
AL fuck no, kids today will never have the magic that we got to witness how it was
AL Too bad most of what kids these days are watching is vloggers who skate. And then there 10 parts and 1000 clips out everyday, they don't have time to appreciate.

absolutely classic part with classic music
My favorite skater of all time!

@@sKyWIperzzz quit again now
one of the best parts in a video ever!!!!
arto used to be way ahead of his time back then..
quality skateboarding
Front boardslide at El toro(ender) was so insane for the time...still is
whe I was young I didn't realize how good arto was, now, several years later I realize even if it is 11 yrs old, still better than a lot of the newest video.
Still better
I still remember going to the premier of this. They did like a skatepark premiere tour. No pros came they just showed the video on a big screen. Super cool as a teen to go to.
old deron miller riffs and arto. so sick
He lands the same every trick it’s unbelievable, it’s like he’s in complete control and there’s an invisible cushion
I was so fucking pumped when I heard he used this song. Foreign Objects was so good, as WAS cKy. This and his Sorry part blew my fucking mind.
Mind blown!!!
This part was so ahead of its time. I believe that's the first switch back lip ever done down a handrail.
It wasn't. ruclips.net/video/fzaBUXu2Gd8/видео.html
@@patrickhanlon932 Well ain't that some shit. You learn something new every day.
This is a template for so many parts today
Arto Saari deserve much more creds. Hes so fucking good, he skates everything !
Always skated with intense authority. Like every trick is pure commitment
Im 11 and this is my first time seeing this vid Im just like Torey Pudwill!!!!!!!
That opening Foreign Objects song tho!
Those back crooks are so nice!
Could you imagine flying down el Toro backwards? Crazy shit.. He was in my top 3 skaters back when I was a skateboarder.
Holds up to this day
One of my favorite vids of all time with Yeah Right and Baker 3.
2:33 Dat crooked

All time favorite part for me. It changed the way I viewed skating.

Gracias mastro Tatum por enserñarme esta obra de arte
The way he can stand on grinds and slides for so long is just something else. If friction was not a factor he could probably travel round the world on a back lip
Still my all time favorite part. Love Arto.
I used watch this part on here about a year ago and the audio wasn't synced up properly. Thanks for fixing it!
This video changed my 12 year old life when I saw it lol
This is probably my favorite skate part of all time. Arto Saari is definitely one of the best ever to touch a board.
Love them back crooks, how the truck flexes around. They look like their about to snap the amount of pressure he puts on them.
high art
So cool to see spots from my home
My father is a skateboarder and this hipped him up
Man, I miss my ES'. BRING THEM BACK!!
Stephen Imsong
