This master will not disengage my clutch enough causing grinding when shifting on my Tri Five. Looking to see what other master cylinders will work for me?
I recommend this over the A/P Hydromax. There is Zero that I can find on installing the master. in 66 Chevelle it was a nightmare and I can fab like a MOFO . For almost 700 bux Id expect more.. get more buy this instead... Finding my correct pedal link sweet spot was a nightmare on the A/P hydromax...
Wow - What I nightmare Mcleod has been. I highly encourage you to look elsewhere. I waited 6 weeks for my clutch and hydraulic system. The failed to deliver on the machining for the flywheel and parts were missing from the kit. What should have been a Saturday turned into a summer! RUN from this company!
FYI...These kits that come with the pedal does not have mount on it so you reattach your natural safety switch.I called the company and they just said they figured people wouldn't use it make there own mounts..NICE...more work for me.. Not using it....Thats super dangerous not having a safety switch. I had 1 unhooked on my 69 Camaro in the shop.My girl friend got in it to go to work and the car took off and ran into the car infront of it...Now shes says she to scared to drive a stick car agian..Been 10 years now she still wont.
Sorry but thats a bad excuse. First thing anyone starting a manual trans car should do is make sure the its in neutral AND push the clutch in. Not having a neutral switch can also get you OUT of danger after an engine failure. I've been able to "start" the car off the road into the safety shoulder before.
