      We'd class Edinburgh as 'for the brave' when it comes to investing because of the political environment in Scotland as a whole when it comes to Landlords

    My only let property (within the E. Mids.) is my former home. It was a somewhat fraught, private collaboration, which turned out to be very positive. Might "go again" but not before Jan., as the forthcoming changes, to EPC rules, are now a major consideration & must be fully absorbed.

      The minimum EPC is definitely a consideration when purchasing an investment property, though I still think the 2028 deadline is unrealistic and will bound to be delayed/ relaxed. That coupled with the Renter's Reform Bill will discourage landlords for sure; hopefully you're able to push through and continue your journey!

      @@user-jq4xt5py8s Thanks!😀👍My inner nerd is quite enjoying navigating the increasingly hostile terrain, as tighter regs. could suit clued-up investors.
      All good fun.🤪

    Great video! For 2023, it’s hard to nail down specific predictions for the housing market is because it’s not yet clear how quickly or how much the Federal Reserve can bring down inflation and borrowing costs without tanking buyer demand for everything from homes to cars.

      I suggest you offset your real estate and get into stocks, A recession as bad it can be, provides good buying opportunities in the markets if you’re careful and it can also create volatility giving great short time buy and sell opportunities too. This is not financial advise but get buying, cash isn’t king at all in this time!

      You are right! I’ve diversified my $450K portfolio across various market with the aid of an investment coach, I have been able to generate a little bit above $830k in net profit across high dividend yield stocks, ETF and bonds.

      I receive guidance from coach Margaret Johnson Arndt who possesses extensive financial market experience. While others may prefer different approaches, her strategy has proven successful for me, as evidenced by my results. Specifically, she offers valuable insight on entry and exit points for the securities that I concentrate on.

    Thoughts on Liverpool?

    • @user-jq4xt5py8s
      @user-jq4xt5py8s 8 месяцев назад +1

      Liverpool is, and has been a solid option for the past years. Its lower financial entry and rental demand prove it to be a solid location for investors- hence it's quite competitive. In terms of the 'yield-capital appreciation spectrum', I would say its more plated towards the yield sign, but that's not to say its capital appreciation is unhealthy either. Really good location IMO.

      @@user-jq4xt5py8s I'm moving back to the UK with my family and looking for a place that can double as our home town/city and my investment location. I'm considering Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, Nottingham, and Derby. Where do you think would be the best place? We care mainly about good schools, family friendly activites, and good opportunites for our daughter.
