I've been really enjoying this series!!! I think I need at least one of these. :) 73
I think we all "need" one of theses. Appreciate the view and comment.
3rd option for inserting the ground spike in Texas hill country: 20 v Dewalt hammer drill with 24" masonry bit. Works like a charm.
LOL, I'm spoiled for sure with the soil I have here in my backyard.
Hi Bob! I’ve been enjoying your series on the Chameleon MPAS system. 95% of my antennas are Chameleon. In fact I’m in the process of installing the CHA EMCOMM 3 Base antenna in a sloper configuration to be utilized as my main HF antenna for my QTH in NY. Enjoy the upcoming weekend and I look forward to catching you on the air. Cheers, Bill KC2KNA
Thanks @MrStanwyck, and yes, we do need to get that QSO in the log. Cheers!
I’m a fan of this setup. I added to it for the TDL configuration and the counterpoise kit. Just being able to have the multiple options of setting it up is a plus :-) and it’s all high quality!
Spot on with the quality, superb. Thanks for the view and comment.
Phenomenal presentation! A+
Phenomenal Gear!
Thanks Again for the Video!!
Thanks for watching @norm_sueb
Hey Bob, what brand and type of coax are you using with the kit?
Chameleon RG-58C/U; I like it because it has the integrated choke. chameleonantenna.com/shop-here/ols/products/cha-50-coax-with-integrated-rfi-choke
What is the WISPR machine that you are using? I use Chameleon exclusively, with the sole exception of hamsticks when it is extremely cold outside. I have the MPAS 2.0, the CHA 4010, and one of the EMCOMM antennas (I think its the II but I dont recall). I love the versatility of the 2.0, and would LOVE to see my signal propagation. As I have only been at this for a couple years, I am still learning, and this next phase of learning, for me, is propagation and antenna tuning to get the best I can. I only use 5 watts, so a well tuned and directed antenna helps a LOT
I am using the Desktop WSPT transmitter by ZachTek; www.zachtek.com/product-page/wspr-desktop-transmitter Hope to find some time to do a video review on it soon.
You can run WSPR test on multiple bands simultaneously and the device doesn't care about SWR. Very convenient for understanding propagation and testing antennas.
@@HOAHamRadio I Need that!!
Seems to be perpetually out of stock. Maybe that's a good sign...
Yes - we're manufacturing 500 CHA MIL EXT and 4,000 SS17... Should be back in stock by the end of next week hopefully!
DX Engineering and GigaParts both have them in stock
Too bad the sling bag isn't available in olive drab
@@Philip-KA4KOE Maybe next year!
I'll be wanting that, ODG is my fav!
