Remember Wincantons. Hung meats in the fridges. My uncle went everywhere. Warrington, Bury and Heywood mainly before moving to Yeadsley when he drove brand new Renault Premium on X reg. Not sure what happened to them. Used to see them fly by ours.
Wincanton Transport are still going see them around Dorset alot, back in the 70s/80s they use to send milk tankers to the Isle of Wight to collect milk from the creamery's, but there trucks were pale blue then, and mainly ERF's
Great video.. I used to do maintenance on the Esso garage in Avonmouth then..54:9 for fuel.. Not long after I drove for Stobarts just down the road until they closed the depot in 2000.. stayed with them for years in various places
Worked in Avonmouth Fire Station ‘89-‘17 and I can remember all these trucking past 24/7👍
