It does seem highly unlikely they'd allow him to go in with a firearm especially on his own. They'd have guards on the door and I imagine some watching as well ready to move in to restrain her but allowing anyone to bring a gun in allows her to get in arms reach of said gun and if she can somehow break free of her shackles then allowing her a gun seems like the worst idea after that.

Check this actress out on general hospital 2007 she played Amelia Joffey a daughter out for revenge against the young woman who killed her rich father! She was very good and in the end gave up her need for revenge because the woman who killed her father was suffering her own hell by the very bad choices she was making and that was revenge enough!
The personality transformation is more impressive - he is actually acting here, and he got so complacent in 'Castle', he was just coasting. He fell into the same bad habit in '2 Guys' - not that he was the only one, or without reason. Here the cast are all so talented, he's having to use more of his ridiculous talent, and so far there's no sign he's even remotely missing it.
Is Rosiland Dyer an arch-enemy of John Nolan now that Nick Armstrong is out of the picture? And what are the chances that she will be released from imprisonment in the end of Season 3 plotting torment against Nolan and those closed to him in Season 4?
I was thinking something similar.... Either she kidnaps Grace and tells Nolan he has to find her, or she kidnaps Nolan and torments him until he's found

I feel like her lines aren't good enough. Especially the line where she has to say that she likes to see how her actions horrify people but it doesn't get her as high as the murdering itself. It feels like a line better delivered by another character making the observation. Her saying it makes it seem like she's trying hard to come off as really cold blooded. Or when she was talking about eating pain, it sounds kind of cheesy to me.
Nolan's captain taught him that it is not his job to punish the criminals, just bring them in to be punished. Besides, as an older rookie, he is able to keep his cool, as he has probably dealt with snarkier people like Rosalind before.

It's definitely not a camera for filming the tv series, The Rookie!!
She's in full body restraints, and those restraints are chained to that bench. This isn't at the prison, or even in one of their interrogation rooms. For some reason they are interviewing her in the processing area by the holding cells. Probably don't have a "standard operating procedure" for that, and as long as he stays out of arms reach, which he does, then she has no shot at anything.
