EGO:
Wants everything NOW and feels a sense of urgency
Feels stress and agitation about the decision
The decision revolves around a personal sense of 'me'
Mind runs around in circles with ideas
Creates a lot of mental noise
Fears missing out or making a mistake
HIGHER CONSCIOUSNESS:
Sense of stillness and inner peace
A 'YES' feeling of alignment in the heart / gut
Quiet mind
Deep trust in a higher intelligence
Calmness in the body

As always Louise is well inspired here also. As was the Spanish mystic St. John of the Cross, known for among other works "Dark Night of the Soul" who recommends not asking specific questions to get supernatural answers. We might ask questions based on assumptions, like that we should go on a holiday, either this week or next week. While we better not to go on a holiday at all for example. So we might not get a reply, or it might be one we don't understand. Therefore he recommends to only present an issue. Like "I wonder about going on a holiday." That leaves open space for a response we might not have thought of.
This is so well explained. The examples given are perfectly chosen
