@@Andytheevien They have 2 FM Radio Frequencies that you would tune into, they'll usually hand you the frequency for your chosen movie on a piece of paper at the ticket box. The speaker boxes are now just decorative pieces, as well as serving as a marker for car spots (the speaker boxes are spaced 2 car spots apart). Too many people damaged them over the decades by backing their car into the speaker poles and driving off without paying for the damage, making it expensive to replace constantly. So........FM radio it is! It's actually pretty common in most drive-in's worldwide to use FM now.
