The Meaco Deluxe 202 Humidifier not only keeps the air humid and clean, the humidified air you breathe in has also been sterilised by an ultraviolet lamp, prior to humidification.
The cleaning video can be found here - • How to use your MeacoD...

I like the matter-of-fact delivery in this video. Highlighting the features without over-excited marketing blurb.
Just in time with the video upload. I just purchased this. So thanks.
What is the difference between this one and the Meaco MeacoDry Dehumidifier ABC Range 12L ?
Just ordered one, thank you 😊
I plan to here in south africa
Hi. Please explain how to use the carbon filter. I did soak in salt for 24 hours. Does it need to be submerged in water all the time thereafter ?
When the machine is not in use should I remove the water from the water tank and in this case do I leave the carbon filter in the water tank? What time period of not using the machine will I have to now soak the carbon filter in salt solution again when I need to use. The manual does not give a detailed explanation of this information.
Thank you
For the water softening filter I would look to re-soak it whenever you start to see a build up of hard water deposit appearing in the room rather than any particular time period. When not in use it can stay in the tank, but always best to dry the tank if you are not going to use it for a while.
Thank you. I thought it might be shining through the base. How do I know the UV lamp is *not* working?
You will get an error message on the screen. You never want to be looking at a UV lamp.
Most of my questions were answered especially after going through the comments.. I would like to know if the unit will switch on automatically after power loss?
If you are referring to our dehumidifiers then yes they will. If you mean this humidifier then no it won't.
Have a question about Auto Shut-Off feature.
How it works, after how long time does it shut-off?
Auto shut off happens when the water tank is empty and it stays off until you fill it again. There is also the auto humidity mode which turns the unit off when the desired humidity is reached and it will turn back on when the humidity falls below target.
@@MeacoUK Ok, thanks for fast reply.
Looks like auto shut-off mode works fine when it reaches my set humidity %, but it does not turn back on when it falls below that %, or is there specific % when it turns itself back on again?
@@blaugznis If you have it in Auto mode then he will turn back on when the humidity is below 50%rh because it is looking to maintain between 50 and 60%rh. If you are using the humidistat it will turn back on when the relative humidity is 3%rh below target.
I want to purchase this humidifier, but am not sure how often the filter has to be replaced and is it available in SA?
You can buy from here in SA - www.solencosa.co.za/collections/humidifiers-home/products/meaco-deluxe-humidifier and they can help you with the filter as well.
I have a meaco 20l the one with green line going across. Why does it show humidity 15c lower than my home home humidity sensors (try 3 sensors at same time all 15c higher than the Meaco)
There could be numerous reasons to be honest. I wrote a blog piece in 2013 about the various reasons, you can find this here - blog.meaco.com/why-is-your-dehumidifier-not-agreeing-with-your-humidity-meter/ . Reading it will help a lot I think. Feel free to leave a question on that blog post if you have any questions having read it.
Hope this helps.
@@MeacoUK Would the meaco be more accurate than a £10 humidity reader, regardless of room temperature. As when I increase room temperature, the separate humidity reader gets closer to the Meaco reading.
@@technohow6494 absolutely, for £10 you will not be getting anything of quality
Can this be on 24/7, and i set it at my desired humidity, so it will come on when needed and switch off when not needed? So it never goes off right?
Absolutely, that is the best way to use it
Can it be seen from outside the base that the UV lamp is on and working?
You cannot see the lamp, because that would be danerous, but there is an indicator to tell you that it is working.
Given the soaring energy prices in the UK, what is tghe power consumption of the unit?
It is 25 watts in cool mist mode and 105 watts in warm mist. In cool mist mode it would be less than 1p/hour based on 28.3p/kWh.
Hi mine has drenched all the floor by at least five foot on length just by being on number 2 i only got it today help please
Sorry to hear that, did you fit the feet, is it on a level surface?
@@MeacoUK hi yes it is just drenching everything around I’ve had to put it in a bowl and move all the furniture even on number one x
@@missh9053 Please call the office on 01483 234900 and ask for Phil so that he can help you please.
Can you add fragrance oils to it?
Yes you can
Do you add it directly to the water?
@@michellepeyper7336 no. It is a button that open a small tray underneath the base. Put few drops of oil on the cotton and close the button.
Separating nozzles will get you 2 puddles 😄. All humidifiers do the same thing at same 25w and 300ml/h but at different money
Certainly with dividing the output in two different directions you get better distribution of the moisture throughout the room, you also half the chance of creating any condensation on the surface that the humidifier is standing on. Condensation puddles are normally caused by having the target set too high or by placing the humidifier on a naturally cold material.
Don't tell us to READ the MANUAL
The reason we're watching the video is so that we don't have to.
No lie these humidifiers are so weak
