Yes. These ladies are the best, and hardest working. Instead of putting pop into their favorite music, they put their favorite music into pop. Funk, metal, jazz, dance, trance, punk, latin, acoustic to electronic sax to twin guitar leads. All very Japanese, but they’ve founded and own a space with high energy electronic hard rockin pop. Think you’ve seen Doll$boxx?, that’s these same Gacharic Spin musicians with the Unlucky Morpheus singer. Just an awesome overall music scene too. Good call
This is a japanese band. Whenever you see an east asian rock/metal band then it's safe to assume by default they are Japanese (especially when all the writing is in Japanese), if they aren't then it is gonna be plainfully obvious and everyone will mention it. Also never trust auto generated RUclips lyrics, basically it's the youtube algorithme analysing the audio of the video and trying to transcribe what is said without proper knowledge of the language and it's even worst in music videos since the algorithme can't even distinguish the "speech" from the music and so you end up with lyrics trying to make sense of the bass line or the drums with things like "uh uh" or [music] or at 6:18 interpreting the guitar sound as "where we we we we we" and even falsly identifying the language (thinking it is korean here when it is Japanese). So unless the lyrics are official, never put the auto generated ones.
Aren't they extra-ordinary? Top-class musicians who never forget they're ENTERTAINERS first. And they love to share it with an audience. Their concerts are no less frenetic and enjoyable than this MV.
I've been on a Female Japanese Band mission for well over a year now, and although I've seen them suggested for awhile I just really discovered them last night. This was the first of their songs I listened to, and they just blew me away! Thankfully we have the Japanese taking up the mission of making good listenable rock that the U.S. seems to have left behind. Just to add that what Jonas W said about RUclips subs transcribing is a fact. Unless it says official, don't trust it.
Thanks for reacting to MindSet - it's definitely a song that has a lot going on, so one can still find 'new' things on subsequent listens. Besides GS being the backbone of Doll$boxx they also have a classic Metal coverband called Metallic Spin. They are not afraid of going places for sure LOL. Unfortunately not a lot of vids of Metallic Spin on yt.

Great reaction Rob! Gacharic Spin is an all female japanese band formed in 2009 and their first full length album came out in 2013. The current band lineup consists of F Chopper Koga (co-founder of the band), one of the best female Japanese bassist, Hana Sano (co-founder of the band) the drummer, multi-instrumentalist (she is now playing the rhythm guitar but not in this video because the actual drummer, Yuri, just had a baby) and singer, Tomo-zo the lead guitarist, Oreo Reona the keyboardist and Angelina 1/3 on vocals. "MinSet" is a single from Gacharic Spin's self-titled upcoming album (September 8th 2021). Also, in 2012, Gacharic Spin (without the actual singer) formed a band called DOLL$BOXX, with Unlucky Morpheus singer Fuki. You should check them out ;) Thank you

There’s a whole long story about their name but basically they are named after a gumball machine...or at least the noises one makes. From the same root you can watch videos about Japanese stores called gacha stores...
Are there Korean all female rock bands? They have oodles of girl groups and boy groups but all they do is sing and dance, no instruments. Also Korean characters have a more rounded form than Japanese characters.
