Stop children, what’s that sound?
… It’s music dwelling through the depths of the Cavern Club again!
Let's ring out the weekend with another upload from our Cavern Club series.
This one has been part of our repertoire for as long as we can remember. It’s a song you can play as big, fast, loud, quiet or intimate as you want and it doesn’t really lose on impact.
The lyrics are strong and, unfortunately, continue to be relevant to this day.
Hope you like it!
Hugs,
Mona & Lisa
What’s great about their covers is that they somehow manage to achieve a kind of faithfulness and accuracy whilst still retaining their own fresh stamp on things.
A DVD of this Cavern club performance would be awesome
Whether doing covers or originals, the Mona Lisa Twins area amazing!
Your guitar work is genius! Your stage performance is second to none, absolutely brilliant,. Incredible energy and vibe, rock and roll at it's absolute finest! Love the Live at the Cavern Club album!
These Cavern Club videos are outstanding! They are having such fun performing and put so much energy into it that you can't help but groove along. I hope I'm able to see them live someday! 🙂
Love those opening 'plings'! Surely easy to see how much you enjoyed sharing this classic gem with your audience! All four of you rockin' out at the Cavern! Exuberance epitomized!
GREAT JOB! SO MUCH ENERGY!! It even woke up my dog who's now running around playing!!!!
It was relevant in the 60s, it is relevant today.
One of the first hit songs I learned on guitar back in 66. had an old tape recorder - taped it off the radio and fell in love with the song. You girls did one hell-of-a-job on this one. Awesome!!!!
This is how music should be performed: Fun, engaged and skillful.
Thanks for bringing back such a timely song!
Absolutely perfection. Brilliant vocals and some very tasty guitar work by anyone's standards . First class
This is my favorite song of all time. Yall did it good.
You never disappoint. How cool it would have been to be there in person.
I always love the Cavern Club lives. Live listening to them going down the road. A lot of people have memories of this song. For me it's very strange. When I hear it, I immediately think of a man that introduced my mother to our stepfather. Both were Navy. Volunteered for Vietnam. My parents never found him afterwards. Then me. When I was waiting in a hanger at the Port of Jebel waiting on getting our tanks off the ships during Desert Shield part...I was looking at all the cots with all of our gear playing my radio. AFN in the beginning was playing 1960s and 70s music. This came on and I was wondering if I was in a movie. So surreal! Love hearing my MLT jam out! Peace. Stay safe. God Speed. Stay Groovy! 🍻🌹❤️🤘
Hi ya Twins - this was my favourite Buff Spring song back in the day. Love your rendition - rock out ladies!!!!! Thanks for the memories!
Another great song that I remember well, and that you nail as if it was your own. Just hearing the harmonics at the beginning, it's singular, it jumps out at me, I recognize it. Just in my head for 50+ years. Classic '60s protest song.
Wow! So much Twin energy flowing on this one. I listen to this often in the club; love to watch and hear Lisa play that guitar!
The joy in the MonaLisa Twins as they play this almost matches the joy I get listening. Great vocals and instrumentation, as usual, and I loved the arrangement
this is an amazing rockin' cover - bravo!
