Memories, wow! While on R&R from Vietnam in 1967 in Bangkok; I sang this song 3 nights a week to roaring GI's like myself just trying to escape the madness! By the way I got free hotel plus bar privileges! Stephen, Neil, and Richie went on to become legions of their own!
Great to see these musicians still playing this song, even if this was 11 years ago! Music is amazing. From 1967 to 2011 to 11 years later! I.E now! The song is still a masterpiece!
This is one of the coolest most wholesome things I’ve ever seen!!!!! Such a legendary song, you can tell they were living it up back in their glory days as best they could for one more go round
This is wonderful live footage. I thank you for this piece of history. That's Richie Furay on the acoustic guitar - a star of Poco later on. Neil Young's orange Gretsch semi-acoustic guitar shines on the solo. Buffalo Springfield are a great reminder of how creative musicians can be, and the inspiration for generations after.
Was in the midst. Unreal experience. It was very hot. It’s rained a little bit. Everyone had bathing suits on. I can’t believe I got to see this band. Dream come true
This just goes to show you that there are some cool young people digging them. And, just because you're an old rocker don't mean you gotta watch from a rockin' chair! Gene Bellamy
I saw him less than a year before this do an acoustic solo set (yes just one) and me being "younger" or "forever young" was like that's it afterwards??? he sat on a stool for an hour, all the people from different generations around me were like "HE'S 70 what do you expect?" I expected this Neil "motherfucking" Young. He rocked out the whole time for 2 hour long sets. And the sound just as good or better than any other band. I didn't get there early cuz I didn't think they'd attract a big crowd. Everyone was watching them.
One of my favorite live shows of all time. I still get goosebumps hearing that Broken Arrow. To think I got to see Stills and Neil on the same stage was incredible. Eternally grateful I got to be here. Incredible videos. Thank you!!!
Just goes to show you it's good some of us old hippies didn't just die at 35. Good to see the men folk broaden out as they get older too. Still an excellent "noise"!
An interesting and VERY powerful version... Almost a different song ! Never seen Neil "Enjoy himself" so much. He can be a real showman when he want's.....
Neil gives that song exactly what it had in the first place... they yang to Steve's Yin :-) Rich on the acoustic too. Perfect. Be cool if they could get Jimi Messina in for some shows too. They really worked well with him for my fave album "Last Time Around" :-) Fantastic band. Hope they do some new stuff. They'd surprise a lot of folks I bet. Be fantastic no doubt. ;-)
A really great song with a great message, look up the 1967 vid of For What It's Worth recently remastered. The original from way back then is SOOO much better.
WE? He is the biggest prick in music. He quit the band right before the Carson Show, their only chance for national exposure. Also right before Monterey Pop. Never heard one thing about him. Just the opposite of Richie Furay. The band hated him
All 3 of the band’s guitarist-frontmen are here: Stephen Stills, Neil Young, and Richie Furay. Bassist Bruce Palmer and drummer Dewey Martin had already died in 2004 and 2009, respectively.
Hard to believe they butchered their own hit song here by trying to make changes in it. Go watch their original hit in 1967 and see how much better it sounded back then.
Of course it is, honey! Where have you been, luv? 56yrs ago, I became permanently obsessed with Neil Young after seeing him and Stephen do this on tv. I heard those first 2 notes and that's all she wrote. Addicted as strongly as someone doing their first hit of H. 56 yrs later and here I am, still getting chills when i hear those first 2 notes. Still in LOVE with Neil Young. Still loving CSN & Y and every musical combination collaboration they come up with. Still obsessed, addicted, hooked for life, WHATEVER u call it, on their music. And will be FOREVER! I think I'm their greatest fan. And it all started with those first 2 little, single, notes of this song. True fucking story, man.
Neil Young is always cool - he is revered by Punk Rock, Grunge, Folk, Americana, and Rock and Roll - mose the Punk and Grunge communities call him the God Father of their genre's - the dude is the shit - even old - and I am old so that means a lot! LOL
great video. I was at this Roo but half passed out by the main stage at this time, staring up at the sky and watching sky lanterns. It was PACKED over there, how did you even get this close?
we used to do this tune.......Emajor...then Amajor...Cmajor and i think Fmajor for the bridge....I think.....we did it real slow.......then fast and psychedelic......then slow again.I remember doing it at ST Gertrude High School in St. Clair Shores.......I think it was 68..........we were stoned as hell.
Is this the real Buffalo Springfield? I recognize Richie Furay and I guess that's Neil Young in the hat? Who are the others? For a second I thought that was Timothy B Schmit on bass.
Yes, this is the real Buffalo Springfield. That is Richie Furay, Neil Young and Stephen Stills out front playing guitar. Rick Rosas filled in on bass and Joe Vitale on drums since, ya know, Bruce Palmer and Dewey Martin couldn't be there because they're dead and all.
Who is here in 2024 listening to this and thinking how very timely it is?
Sup lol
A Wake up, but to a different tune.
Yep
Exactly heh
We’re still covering it..😅
Memories, wow! While on R&R from Vietnam in 1967 in Bangkok; I sang this song 3 nights a week to roaring GI's like myself just trying to escape the madness! By the way I got free hotel plus bar privileges! Stephen, Neil, and Richie went on to become legions of their own!
Great version of a symbolic tune from my youth. We knew it was an important comment for our culture.
TIMELESS PEACE OF MUSIC THAT NEVER GETS OLD!
Great to see these musicians still playing this song, even if this was 11 years ago! Music is amazing. From 1967 to 2011 to 11 years later! I.E now! The song is still a masterpiece!
"We're lucky to be here with you" !!! Lucky to still be alive after all these years.
try now in 2024 whoa...
I was at this show. It was great.
This is one of the coolest most wholesome things I’ve ever seen!!!!! Such a legendary song, you can tell they were living it up back in their glory days as best they could for one more go round
Legends still killing it....
nah they almost falling off the stage those old bags xD

Terrible sound.
At first, I was like, "Who do they think they are? Buffalo Springfield?" LOLzzz
I love you Neil Young and Stephen Stills!
10 years ago... Time flies so fast especially after pandemic of covid-19..

Thanks, Donna. Although, I may have broken the camera, I went ahead and posted it. Have a great day. GB

it really sucks for us new fans because we're a decade late to ever getting to see them perform again. same with Crosby, stills, and Nash.
One of my favorite live shows of all time. I still get goosebumps hearing that Broken Arrow. To think I got to see Stills and Neil on the same stage was incredible. Eternally grateful I got to be here. Incredible videos. Thank you!!!

This song will never die! Was ,is and will be alive also over 1000 years !!!
An interesting and VERY powerful version... Almost a different song ! Never seen Neil "Enjoy himself" so much. He can be a real showman when he want's.....

What a powerful version of an already powerful song. Awesome
Someone said that's not Stephen Stills but it is. He's aged but hasn't changed too much. He's singing and is on the far left when facing the stage.
That's him for sure
10-4
That is him.
Still relevant today.
Gave me the chills then, now it makes me tremble.
Never saw Buffalo, but later saw Stills twice solo, then 3 times as CSN. Each time he did this!
Stills was the talent behind the group
One of my faves!
The hippies are getting younger!
Surprised how many people aren't aware Neil was an original member of the band
Duh. Hahahaha
It was number one to me and all my friends in 67.
A really great song with a great message, look up the 1967 vid of For What It's Worth recently remastered. The original from way back then is SOOO much better.
Legends.
Always loved this song!!!
I can't believe that's Steven Stills on our left!
I'd love to hear this group of guys do an updated Mr. Soul . I bet they could really scream on it !!
My type of concert. Sorry, I missed it. Awesome job ya'll.
This is pretty sweet
Thanks for uploading! 😃
Oh Neil young doesn't give a fuck, and that's why we love him
WE? He is the biggest prick in music. He quit the band right before the Carson Show, their only chance for national exposure. Also right before Monterey Pop. Never heard one thing about him. Just the opposite of Richie Furay. The band hated him
@@rounds1954 yeah when I wrote that comment 9 years ago, I was thinking of you specifically when I said “we”. I’m happy you finally noticed
Totally forgot Buffalo Springfield reunited for this, wish I went
Maravillosa canción, mítica, legendaria e inmortal, una obra de arte!!
Ahhh the days when Roo actually had good music and not just rap and pop music
Yep, that's Neil with the hat.
Thanks, Backpackdave. Another good one.
you recall Lincoln Nebraska, Grove, think you rocked some music on my daycare kids instruments, after. 1983ish?
at :53, right in the middle, bright red shirt, that's me!
It was a great show.
Echoes of the past, accurate for the socio-political discourse of today.
Try this summer bro
So true!
Definitely cogent today.
So glad I was there
Awesome song
Fuck this is a great performance
That high note pierces to a level of discomfort.
Love this tune!❤
"Lucky to be here with you,"--so true.
This is not Buffalo Springfield unless a bunch of people changed?
All 3 of the band’s guitarist-frontmen are here: Stephen Stills, Neil Young, and Richie Furay.
Bassist Bruce Palmer and drummer Dewey Martin had already died in 2004 and 2009, respectively.
don't know if you are serious...but....yes it is. He was a founding member of Buffalo Springfield.
I was in the pits! We skipped Florence & the Machine to wait in line. Best decision ever!
Wow. Great jam on this great song! Obviously this crowd had never heard it, tho. lol.
Looks liked they enjoyed playing that rediscovering their youth.
Hard to believe they butchered their own hit song here by trying to make changes in it. Go watch their original hit in 1967 and see how much better it sounded back then.
Thanks Youtbe!
Amazing!

Old farts still rockin it out ! Love y’all!
71 and I listen to Rock N Roll every day. It takes me back to so many incredible and sometimes unsetting experiences ref: Vietnam Tour of Duty!

There's Something Happening Here...1:46 What It Is Is Exactly Clear: Rock N Roll!
Thanks '' Lord Of War ''! 🙏🕊️ This is why I'm here 🤟 now!

Happy birthday
GORGEOUS PEACE
how many of original up there other than young?
Love you Neil!!!
danke und viele Grüße aus Deutschland
Richie Furay too. You are loved
Neil Young un vrai showman et quel guitariste...
LOVE
ANTHEM
I was a sr in hs in 67 and was creeping up on 18, lived in the midwest and already had said fuck it, I'm getting out of here.
Richie Furay rocks.
As long as political extremism of any stripe, color, direction continues to exist this song will remain relevant.
Is it just me or is that Neil Young on guitar? That's friggin' awesome if it is...
joelmbarr duh. He was in the band in the very beginning.
And that was Stephen stills on the left in the green shirt 👍😎 ✌️
@@johnphillipsjr7238 itbet you're a real pain

@@judetheneilyounggirl2358 Well...I hope Neil Young will remember... Southern men don't want him around..
AWESOME!

too bad that Neil's mind is gone.
one could say that back in 1973
great video. I was at this Roo but half passed out by the main stage at this time, staring up at the sky and watching sky lanterns. It was PACKED over there, how did you even get this close?
Everyone was so stoned they couldn't even get their arms waving in unison.
Yes it is
good job and it gets better in the middle. But i like it a little faster.

Ya think?
They have the camera on Neil Young but the lead singer and guitar is being done by Steven Stills! He's on the far left.
yessss!
Ils assurent !!!!!!
GROOVY BABY.
they are buffalo with Neil Young, Stephen Stills and Messina
Not without Richie Furay!
Cool so Cool
I FEEL GROOVEY.
Who is here in 2025 and 2026 ?❤
Look at that god damn Neil still stalking the stage like the spectre of old!

and I miss Rick the Bass Player-- a sweetheart of a guy, terrific musician, now gone up to that Big Band in the Sky....
lay it down...
ooh yes......
again !!
Can I get the full version please?
Where the hell is Stephen Stills?
On the left with the stratocaster.
Oh yeah, that is him . Damn, I thought that was some guy standing in for him.
He is in different shape though. After the years...
Stills is a hero to me though stone deaf now and so it has really effected his singing
Never notice till now but Aerosmith song "Pink" sounds suspiciously similar to this one
is that neil young?
anibal vega why wouldn’t it be Neil young?? He was in the band when they recorded this in 1967
Is this planet earth? 🐛
of course
i love it when bands dont need a gimmick. they always wore street clothes on stage and all that
