- This interview was broadcast on the 5th March 1988 on Aspel & Company TV show. Paul was on the show a year or 2 later with some actress in his Broadstreet movie too, but not with George or Ringo

It's interesting that the host could say in 1988 that there were many young people who had never heard of the Beatles and Harrison said that most haven't. I think it would be harder to find young people today who haven't heard of the Beatles.

Paul McCartney’s interview on aspen about his film broadstreet was in 1984. It was 4 years before this one.
Each one of the Beatles had a genuine unforced wit and irreverence that is still refreshing to behold. What one gets from today's American Idol-variety celebrity is usually a self-conscious, inarticulate sort of pop-culture exhibitionism.
The biggest band ever and they never come across as boastful or big headed :)
And he did put a band of other older rock stars together later that year!

Unfortunately, the sound is out of sync, sort of like watching "Singing in the Rain" where the film went out of sync. Shame.
