Hi guys. I am a small contractor in Northern BC Canada. I do a lot of trim jobs and Reno's, painting, etc. A great booth is the Pop-up 10'x10' Gazebo they sell at Walmart. I use them on all my jobs, inside and out. Takes 2 minutes to setup. The height is adjustable to 3 settings. You just wrap the sides with poly and hang a LED work light inside . If you don't find you have enough light, hang a light in each corner as well or take the top off and put poly on instead. Even faster to take down.
@ Paint Life TV Chris, I love your videos but I am begging you to get a wireless lavaliere mic set up. Pretty please 😃 Thank you again for all of your advice. I recently followed your suggestions and created an email newsletter announcing new features for my company and have started designing my own merch (t-shirts, hats, and guitar picks) Yes, guitar picks. I live in the Nashville area
Love your video, just can’t give $700+ for something that looks like it should cost $175. The fan is an additional $1000 sheesh. I did get their paint racks though
I love the idea of this but how do you factor in a “disposable” spray booth that cost $2,100.00?? If it was reusable I feel that would be more cost effective.
Bruh. The PLASTIC is disposable. I get that did said “this booth is disposable”. But he literally pulled all of the components out, in zippered bags, the very next shot after “throwing it away”. I think he just presumed no one would be so insane as to assume your throw the frame away.
No, there are lots of reasons why. Prep time is why I changed. And if I do tip over a gallon I don't have to replace a floor. I just use 5 gallon water to clean it up. Dry time is fast and I don't use as much product. I switched the shop over to. Water just works better now. I never thought that I would say it or switch.
That seems like alot of cost and over kill to paint some kitchen cupboards, depending on how much youve got to do you can get great finish with a low pile foam roller if you lay it off right and all you have to do is drop a few sheets and your good to go!
When you do this for a living it’s worth it. This particular one is only good in perfectly clean environments. I use a inflatable one so I don’t have to worry about dust and stuff blowing in. Has a separate room to suit up in before you enter the painting area. The cost of setups like this is very minimal. Hell your booth, sprayer, and hanging/drying system is paid for in one decent cabinet refinish. I spray all 2k products and average around 11-12k per kitchen with no grain fill they just get whatever the high build primer gives but if I have to go through and grain fill im around 15k. Inflatable booths are under $1500 you can get a good sprayer for around $1500 hell a Gx19 is 1k and is great. A painting rack and drying system with hangars and everything for a kitchen is around 2k so 5k you can be spraying in a spray booth with good products. Your material cost is usually under $1500 includes all consumables and the primers, top coat, and catalyst
So…why should I invest in this as opposed to re-creating the same with PVC pipes, disposable plastic sheets, and adhesive zippers? Is there something I’m missing about what this supplies that a DIY setup wouldn’t?
Curious why you have gotten away from lacquer? Based on your previous videos where you were in favor of lacquer, I started spraying lacquer and really like it...
I really like most of your videos and think you know your stuff, but please but more transparent when you are doing an infomerical or disclose you are getting a cut. In some of your earlier videos you were really upfront about if something was sent no charge or if you were involved in development. This does not appear to have that level of transparency. Monetize your time, i am all for that but be upfront about it please. Shared knowledge is a blessing on those that seek it.
@@AJ7- I'd agree, as long as you have a fine finish tip or a hea type of tip as you can turn down the power of your Airless. You'll usually get the product on the trim in one pass. If you have a mobile pressure pot with your turbine I'd say that would be good, you will need to do a couple of passes with that though. If you have both, try both & see what feels best.
It's not. even if it was, its a negative pressure system. Which means it's pulling all the air from outside the booth into onto your coat. I can't imagine this is a feasible option for higher end finishing.
A Open booth. Is if you understand how to use it. They don't pull as much dust as people think. Most shops use an open booth. I don't worry about parts in the booth it's out that dust becomes a problem
Going to have to make this more affordable if you want sells. 1600$ for total kit is a bit steep and only 80x80 in about all ur doing is spraying doors in that. May want to make this a lot bigger or offer different sizes what about the guy who wants to buy this for spraying more than just doors not much room to work in just some food for thought.
Well I'm very buying one at $700 for plastic and a couple tunes. It's cool but my God unless you use it full-time wow for diy guys it deff isn't worth it.
This thing was a total waste of money. I am so dissatisfied with this. The welds on the corner nubs are so badly done that they break everytime I try and set them up. Their returns policy is borderline scammy as you can’t return anything unless it is, “in original condition and original packaging”. Can’t tell you how disappointed I am, don’t waste your money like i did.

Perfect!! Thanks!!!
Does a space heater work to keep it warm enough paint 8n the winter?
😂 guys trying to make money selling this thing and here comes Ricky pushing people to Walmart.
Over priced!!!! Can make the same with a portable canopy, plastic sheeting, clips, and a couple of fans with filters.
The most decent temporary booth I have ever seen ... Well done! ✔ ... On my wishlist already
A 30 second tent is way faster to set up and pack up, does not let light in but a led work light fixes that
My husband and I were literally just talking last night about needing a spray booth! Seriously - what are the chances?!?! Thank you 😊
You must not know. Your phone actually listens to you....
Thanks for sharing! What type of ventilation system do you use? Could you do a video on that product?
Hey Chris, you mentioned you are not using precat lacquer any longer, but are using water based product. What are you using now?
Great for pros maybe but amazon has a canopy with walls for $197
Even better --a $40 10 x 10 easy up canopy on a cheap tarp. Wrap it with 2 mill 9x 12 plastic.
Hey brother , where I can find this kind a gun and compresor to pain cabinets ? Thanks !
Reminds me of Walt and Jesse’s set up in Breaking Bad!!

I make 1 room a spray booth cover floors and wall and paper 16 inches of ceilings all the way around

Worth every penny
Always positive, following you on Instagram from while !!! Best !!!

Right? I almost fell off my chair when I saw that price! Frig I can buy a 30ft inflatable paint booth for that much.

Yep. Solvent-based products would probably wreak havoc with the various plastics...
What products did you switch to? You said you no longer use lacquer.
I’ve been using hybrids lately. They level out pretty good and are durable
Nice idea.
It will be even nicer if the plastic used will be compostable one.
Wonder why water base is used now. Maybe because laquer is DANGEROUS

why did you stop using laquers?
What would happen if you sprayed a lacquer I it?
Good stuff but the price..... I think you can buy few plastic tubes and fitings and make something yourself for much more cheaper than this .....
I totally need one of these!!
please what is the model of gun and station used in this video

The difference of looking like a pro or a diy painter. Durability, the canvas bags.
Curious why you have gotten away from lacquer? Based on your previous videos where you were in favor of lacquer, I started spraying lacquer and really like it...
Doesn’t last compared to the 2k finishes.
How would you spray regular sized doors in this booth?
What kind of water based finish are you using?
Does the disposable clear poly cover the floor, 3sides, and ceiling?
Hey Chris do I replace the plastic on your paint booth everything I spray. And how do you cover it with new plastic
The liners are one use
Where did you source your exhause tubing from? Very cool!
It’s available paintlifesupply.com

You actually saw John Cena.....wow....I heard that nobody can see him...
What is that spray gun your using and how do I get the gun and the spray booth
a disposable $600 portable spray booth that's hilarious. is PVC pipe and plastic why is it $600?
How many doors can you do at a time usually there is 20 to 30 doors not very practical practiclo
do one at a time and take it out to stack

Hi, Please answer, What is better to paint trim HVLP or airless? Thank you.

I set the pressure to crazy low and use a “low overspray” design tip
There's only 3 walls? I don't understand how this is air tight?
It's not. even if it was, its a negative pressure system. Which means it's pulling all the air from outside the booth into onto your coat. I can't imagine this is a feasible option for higher end finishing.

I saw Walter White use one of these
Where is the unit sold?
paintlifesupply.com
Can this spay booth be got online
paintlifesupply.com
John Cena is now a sprayer..
blow up paint booths are the way to go and a fraction of the price
This has awesome
No way would I pay 2,000 dollars for pvc and some plastic.
Its not $2000
Thousands have for a reason. Cause it makes you money and reduces liability.
Pro!
Hi bro howmuch
Well I'm very buying one at $700 for plastic and a couple tunes. It's cool but my God unless you use it full-time wow for diy guys it deff isn't worth it.
Love mine
$579 pounds whaaaa!!
OK

Way way way overpriced. Just set up a pop-up gazebo outside. Absolute scam.
Shut up and take my money
That thing is over 2000$, yeah no...
Your in Idaho where pay is in the dark ages, get real with that price. Stop trying to get rich on plastic junk.
