Who is here 2 years later and checking out this powder for the first time? I needed a new one and I remembered Jen's review of this and decided to try it! I'm in the middle of Meijer , rewatching her review.... And I'm excited to give it a try. I love being able to trust Jen's reviews! Especially for products that are for dry skin!
Aw thank you so much! Yeah, that would definitely defeat the purpose of seeing how the product actually looks! That's why I didn't apply blush/bronzer/highlighter, etc. It would just cover it up. 😂😊
Am I squeezing in a watch of this in the waiting room before my doctor calls me in? Yes. Yes I am. I'm super curious to see how this powder looks plus I never miss one of Jen's videos. 💖💖💖💖
I am 25 and I am going back to these cover girl powder products !!!! They are very light weight which are perfect for working out compared to liquid foundations. Sometimes going back to the basics are the best way, high-school me knew what she was doing!
I am 57, with plenty of deep wrinkles, and have ALWAYS looked yuck, and felt nasty wearing liquid foundation or powder. I have dry skin, and live in a super arid climate. I just bought this product today; I applied it over my Swell Skin sea buckthorn oil, and I love it. A few hours later, it looks even more natural than when I put it on. It covers my age spots just right. I don’t feel the constant urge to go wash my face, or like I am wearing a mask. I do think my deep wrinkles are a bit more noticeable, but that’s only because there isn’t the busyness from my age spots, and reddish bits to distract from them. I may have just entered the realm of wearing foundation for the first time in my life. Guess I’m going to have to learn how to properly wash my face before bedtime now! 😆
I'm impressed! It looked really good even at the end of the day! I'd love to see a comparison between the Covergirl and L'Oreal powders. I've got dry skin too so I'm really interested in knowing which one works best!
i'm 45 and i graduated high school in the mid-90s. makeup was a totally different game back then. nobody had "collections." the people i knew who wore makeup only had a few things. in my case, i only ever used concealer, powder, mascara, eyeliner, and lip products - liners, lipsticks, and glosses (although liners were my favourites) - all of it drugstore. Cover Girl was always my go-to powder brand. Something about it; they just disappeared on my skin, evened out my skin tone enough, never looked cakey or powdery or dry, and felt like nothing on my skin, which for me is a necessity - I can't handle the feeling of things on my skin. I enjoyed this video and i think i might give this powder a try. i stopped wearing makeup a long time ago and i'm starting to get back into it but my skin has changed so much since i last wore makeup and i've been finding it challenging to find products that don't make me look washed out or ruddy or just plain weird.
*If you want the L’Oréal powder foundation, then it’s best to use the Target app to get notified when shades are back in stock. You need to be prepared to order immediately if you’re getting it shipped to your house. They’ll only add a few of one shade at a time (nationally.) If you try to order it, but it’s out of stock by the time you’re checking out, then you’ll have to manually select to get re-notified. Personally, I’ve gotten 5 different shades because I self tan. I will frequently check the Target app to find shades in stores for curbside. If it’s out of stock at your nearest Target, the app will also be able to tell you if it’s in stock at other Targets in your area.*
I’m 52 and have dry skin. I wear powders all the time.. just have to have the right powder. I just bought this and boy is it lovely!!! It’s so soft and creamy. For people wondering about a scent, a very slight powder smell. You have to really take a deep smell in to smell anything. I really wish they made it in more shades. Girl, you can wear powders, all you have to do then is use a hydrating spray then. I like to spray my sponge and go around the face.
When I was in high school all I wore was cover girl concealer and cover girl pressed powder everyday. Actually that’s all I wore until I was 27. I’m 35 now and obsessed with makeup, bc of RUclips, but cover girls powders are actually really nice. An slept on..
I’ve had the Jcat aquasurance powder foundation since Taylor Wynn raves about it a couple of years ago.. since then, I’ve always kinda enjoyed powder foundations! My local cvs had 1 of the L’Oréal powder foundation in Vanilla! I was shocked, and scooped it up! It’s decent too!
Thank you for reviewing this. I have dry, mature skin, and most powders don’t work on me. I trust your reviews as everything I have bought that you recommend has worked out well for me. The results you got were amazing. You really are my most trusted you tuber! I will definitely be trying this one.
Come'on, when you have natural beauty Jen to start with of course it would look good. Though I am curious about applying this powder after the a.m. skin care and sunscreen. How would it act ?
I really appreciate how you used a brand new powder and not an old used powder where most of the powder is already gone. This was helpful to me since I haven't used makeup in awhile and decide to start wearing makeup again. I also appreciate how you showed how you applied it using the sponge that comes with it I have been looking at other videos today and yours was the most helpful so thank you for that and I am thinking to try this particular product.
It did look really good! I use the It Illumination powder in the hotter weather too. So easy and no slipping/sliding around. I do LOVE to spray a bit of a hydrating setting spray to take down the powdery look. I have extremely dry skin too! Awesome to hopefully find a drugstore option as well. Thank you!!
I bought the powder based on your video and I love it! I’m not usually a powder person either but the finish is so smooth and it’s so comfortable to wear. Thanks for this video!!
Goodness it made your skin look flawless yet still naturally beautiful. I’m 48 with normal to dry skin so this seems like it will be perfect for me. I was actually just looking at it on Amazon last night . I can hardly believe you reviewed it this morning! Thank you so much 😊❤️ I love foundation reviews , especially drugstore.
Covergirl has made many improvements. It does look very nice on you. If I were to pick this up I would have to make sure they have a great return policy. Covergirl products always oxidize to orange on me.
I definitely want to try this now! I am just 40 with dry skin and honestly, I don't know why I haven't tried it before. Covergirl is the only powder besides e.l.f. Halo Glow that I have ever even used because I know it won't suck the moisture right back out of my skin.
Woah, this is highly impressive! I feel like this Covergirl one is more suited for your skin type than the Loreal, but ofc I would love to hear your thoughts on it as well!! It would be a really interesting comparison ☺️
I agree, most of the good reviews with the Loreal have been oily skin or younger gals. But you never know! My skin gets more toward the "normal" side in the warmer weather. :)
I used to use powder foundation all of the time. Stopped about 10 years ago. I purchased this because of your review. Covergirl was always my favorite as a teenager and young adult. I'm really glad to see this. Ty
Oh wow I don't know if I'm more impressed with the powder or when you said you were past 40!! Fairly new to your channel, been watching some of your videos n I am usually good at estimating people's age. I really thought you were in your mid to late 20's!! You look great!! Wow I need to watch more of your vids!!
Looks amazing, I'm surprised how well the coverage is, doesn't look cakey or heavy on the skin. I'm wondering how it would be on oily skin, might look into this, thanks for showing me a new powder.
My favorite is the neutrogena powder foundation...and I have the same problems with you as far as powders go. This one looked really great on you. Color looked great
I came back to this video to thank you for this recommendation. I have combo skin, over 40 and prefer powder foundation. I use this as one. I love it! Perfect coverage, great wear, great shade. This has become a go to for me. Love it! I wear it alone and also on top of tinted sunscreen. Thanks Jen!
Oh my gosh, I’m right there with you about powders not working on my skin. I’ve got one HG that Ive been using for years, but only in the summertime, which you might want to check out- Revlon Photo Ready, which nobody ever talks about on RUclips. Besides this one, I have never found any others that work. Very excited to try this covergirl one, as I prefer a light coverage on my mature skin!!
I was so excited to try the Loreal one and then so disappointed when I did. I've got dry skin and I'm in my late 50s, it magnified everything... but I will try the Covergirl one because they don't cost much.
I saw this powder was kinda curious. The last pressed powder I tried from them I didn’t like. It was the one in the pink packaging. May give this one a try.
I bought this cause of your recommendation..it came in today..I haven't tried it yet ..but I love primers and blurring stuff... I'm 43, my skin is actually pretty good...my pores have shrunk in the last few years and my oily skin became Normal since changing my diet to a keto lifestyle, so I really really love when I get to use things that just make my skin look like mine but better.... I don't really have any wrinkles but I just want to have that filter smooth look in real life 😍
I have always preferred the feeling of powder foundations, but the older I get the dryer my skin gets. In the winter I just put on my tinted moisturizer, or if I'm not getting flaky, some of the Everyday Minerals Jojoba base. When I've used up some of the stuff I have, I'm going to have to try this one out! I love Covergirl.
The only powder I’ve found to work on my dry skin is the flower beauty pressed powder and it does have some coverage too. I’d love to see more foundation reviews!
I have this powder in translucent and I like to wear it over a bb cream or a light coverage foundation. It looks great! I had originally thought it might work well on the undereyes but I didn’t like it there. I will pick this one up in a skin tone shade next time. Also, I just ordered the new Loreal one from the Target website this morning. Today I’ll be trying the JCat Aquasurance in Porcelain that I just got from Ulta. I’ve been really into powders lately 😄
That powder foundation looked amazing on your skin. I have the makeup forever one that everyone raved about and it looks so heavy on my skin. I’m gonna have to try this one out. Thanks for sharing.
Looks like I'll be trying this one too as I can't find the Loreal one either. I live in the frozen northern Michigan boonies and I still can't find it! Thanks Jen, living your channel more than usual these days. Hope you had a nice walk with your son. ☺️
Aw thank you Sharon! It was supposed to be warmer (almost 50 degrees) but there was a cold wind blowing that made it feel much colder. Still, it was sunny so I was happy about that...it seems like it's been gray and overcast all winter!
Whoa! I can’t believe how fresh you look after 8 hours. I saw this powder at my Shoppers; I am really impressed with Covergirl these days. They are upping their game. I hit pan on my elf compact, so after watching your video recommendation, I think I’ll give it a try. I too have very dry and sensitive skin. Will let you know how it turns out. Thanks again!
Wow, I’ll check this out. I never eeevvveerrrrr wear foundation powders either for same reason. Beautiful! Love your sunglasses with bigger sun protective rims 😁!
I wore a Clinique pressed powder as powder foundation for most of my thirties and that was life changing at the time. But as my skin has aged and dried, I've switched to liquid.
I tried this in translucent and while it was beautifully smoothing, unfortunately it left a white cast so I returned it. I’ll definitely try it in a colour!!! Thanks for the review.
I got the translucent one also and I really wish I’d gotten one with some color as it left a terrible white cast.. going back for one with some color too!! I think I’d really like it then
Very impressive. Going grocery shopping tomorrow at Walmart. Will hopefully be able to find and try it out. Also, Target is on the agenda tomorrow. So I can look there as well.
I took the infallible powder back, very cakey. Yes it covers, but I didn't like it. I was actually having to put my liquid foundation over it, which I do sometimes anyhow. This powder looks good. I will probably pick it up.
i think that looks great on you...i have normal skin with greasy centre panel...would love to try this but they are charging over 21 STERLING on amazon for this in the UK ! 🙄Which i think is a bit much as its about $13 in the US. So I guess i'll stick with my bare minerals powder foundation...which is not much more expensive...but i think is more matte. Thanks for the great review.
Ok so you definitely persuaded me to get this one over the Loreal! I think it is going to be perfect in the warmer months when I don't feel like wearing liquid foundation. Thanks for the review, Jen! 😘
CVS has the L'oreal Infallible 24hr Fresh Wear Foundation for sale for shipping. I purchased a shade earlier in the week and it arrived today. I got the shade 10 porcelain and it's an okay match for me although it's not quite pink enough
OMG. Your skin looks so good!!! I have walked by that powder so many times and almost picked it up .Can't wait totally gonna purchase next Wal-Mart trip. Since cover girl revamped there packaging , I have enjoyed a few things. The brow pencil is my absolute favorite 😊
I definitely will! I just ordered it from CVS (they got it back in stock yesterday) so I'll be able to do a comparison...maybe next Friday if it gets here in time!
I just ordered it from Target based on your review! It looks amazing, I have a lot of similar skin issues like you and am a cool tone. Can't wait to try it.
Jen - I just got this from Target and I love it! I need to get a darker shade, but still, I am so impressed by how even my skin tone is, no red areas, and its not drying like I would assume a powder to be. And no need to go back with a concealer to touch up under the eyes, my chin, or a break out. This is so much faster. Thank you!!
After watching this, I went out and bought it! I tried it today and was blown away how amazing it made my skin looked!
Yay!! I'm so happy you love it too! Thanks for the update!! 🥰🥰🥰
Can you wear over foundation ?
Thank you for zooming in and adjusting the lights. It's so helpful when people do that!
True! I hate it when "demos" have that harsh lighting that we can't see any detail
You’re a natural beauty & it’s nice to see someone test a product that isn’t layered w/ ten other products!! You’re my fave Jen!
Aw thank you so much! Yeah, that would definitely defeat the purpose of seeing how the product actually looks! That's why I didn't apply blush/bronzer/highlighter, etc. It would just cover it up. 😂😊
The foundation looks so pretty and natural on you. I love it when ppl review foundation for ppl in their 40s and up (it rarely happens. Thanks!!!!)
Am I squeezing in a watch of this in the waiting room before my doctor calls me in? Yes. Yes I am. I'm super curious to see how this powder looks plus I never miss one of Jen's videos. 💖💖💖💖
No concealer?? Wow looks great 👍 I wear the simply ageless in 230 buff beige wonder what shade in the powder 🤔
Awesome find! I ve been looking for a powder type foundation with light to med coverage for my 69 yo zkin. It looks so nice! Many thanks🌷

I usually hate covergirl powders, they get super cakey but I'm gonna have to try this one! I'm torn between buff and natural beige.
It almost looks better in the outside natural light. I am definitely trying this out for sure..

I love your channel! I have super dry skin too so your reviews are super helpful. 😊
Can't wait to try this one! Love that I found someone with dry skin to give good recommendations!
I really want to try this
Thank you for this video and I am wanting to try the cover girl powder. It looks very nice. I love it when it seems to disappear right into the skin
Looks beautiful! I'm always in the market for a powder that doesn't make me look like a wrinkled mess! 😁
OMG. Your skin looks so good!!! I have walked by that powder so many times and almost picked it up .Can't wait totally gonna purchase next Wal-Mart trip. Since cover girl revamped there packaging , I have enjoyed a few things. The brow pencil is my absolute favorite 😊
You looked so cute in shades!
Came here to say this! 😎
This looks amazing!! Can't wait for the comparison when you get your hands on the L'Oreal!
Jen you should try Wander Beauty’s powder foundation. It’s fantastic and I have dry skin!
Hi Jen love your videos.
I have this and use it as a finishing powder. I will have to try it as a foundation, looks great on you!!
I've been looking for a new powder foundation, I'm going to have to go check this one out!
You look beautiful Jen. I will buy it💗💗💗

Dang...I might need to pick this up. I need help for my undereye wrinkles!
Would love a comparison! I'm a powder foundation user, and these types of videos are rare. Thanks!
Thank you!!
Loving you in those sunglasses
