Most straight forward walk through I've seen! Thanks for creating this, I was able to pair it in less than a minute. The ikea manual is just pictures that don't explain anything 😂
Thanks from Australia mate! The instructions that came with the remote and power supply were useless. I was considering returning the products until I found this video. Thank you so much!
Glad I could help. I actually returned a few remotes, thinking they were not working until I realized that the power supply in most cases must be reset to be ready for pairing.
Great video , very simple explanation and tutorial. Ikea’s info can be a bit misleading and or confusing. Set up was pain free after watching this Thanks
Thank you for the video. Could you help me with this question? If I have the TRADFRI 30W driver (which can connect 10 led strip units), and I want to connect 10 SKYDRAG led strip units of each 6W (60W total), wouldn't that exceed the maximum 30W of the driver? In which case I would have to connect 2 TRADFRI 30W drivers, correct?
@kitchensbyrannes Thank you :-) So if i understand you correctly, a connection wire between the two drivers isn't enough. Do you mean that i really need a seperate powersupply with powerplug for each driver?
Really good video however, I’m still doing something wrong. I manage to connect first two power units and 3rd one after pairing is blinking like a crazy 🤪. Spend last hours trying different configurations- any help would be much appreciated.
Hi there, thank you for this video. I have one question with controlling two power supplies with one remote. From the video, I understand the power supplies must be close to one another, but how close? or rather, how far can they be for the remote to be able to control them. In my planning, they would be about 10 feet from one another. Would that work? Thanks in advance
Hi, great video, but I still have one question. If I use multiple powersupplies, can I use the remote for each lightgroup individually? Like can I use the remote to at one time only control lightgroup A and another time lightgroup B?
Hello, thank you very much for the videos. I have a question; I use YTBERG in my wardrobe and Översidans indoors, but unfortunately when I try to turn off the YTBERG LED outside with the remote control, the Översidans in my indoor wardrobe also turns off. What is the way to separate these two? The only idea that comes to my mind is to use 2 LED drivers connected to each other, as I saw in this video. Do you think it's right?
You're welcome 🤗 Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with the products you mention as they aren't used in kitchens in Canada. I try to limit my videos to be about my own experience with Ikea products, and I have no knowledge or experience with those you mention. Try to ask Ikea customer support.
I'm not sure which Ansluta you have, but the only Ansluta we have in Canada is either a small power supply or a cable, and none of those can be wirelessly connected to any Ikea remote control.
Is the red light on the remote supposed to turn of when it’s connected? Because it lights up and does its thing but the remote doesn’t work. I inserted a new battery
I'm not certain about the red light. Sometimes it takes two tries to make it work. Remember to only short-click on either ON or OFF. If you click too long, it's dimming...
Yes, physically it can, but you should not. If you cut off the plug at the end of the cable it will not be to code as the cable isn't approved to be hardwired.
You must have experience with this, but is there a trick or setting to make MITTLED drawer lights turn on quicker when opening drawers? There seems to be an annoying delay due to the trigger distance.
Thank you so much! I have now managed to pair my remote with the driver and I can turn the lights on, off and dim them...hurrah. Ikea's instructions concerning are useless.
@AidanSkoyles you're very welcome. Paying...? 🤔 Ikea pays me nothing. Instead, I encourage my viewers to support the channel. Some do, and most do not. C'est la vie.
Thank you very much for this, and all your IKEA videos! The timing of this post is perfect! This is the last thing I need to do after my sister and I have assembled and installed a 17 cabinet kitchen, mostly on our own. This was possible because of your instructional videos. They are THE best out there!! I will be heading to your channel to show my appreciation! Thank you for taking the time to create these for us DIYers! ❤

The BEST guide I have found, IKEA instructions were awful and countless threads on forums were useless as well. This video did in mins!
Great to hear!
The most helpful, straightforward explanation. Better than any IKEA manual, that’s for sure!
Glad it was helpful! 🤠

Driver = power supply.
Trådfri is the power supply/driver.
Yes, 2 x 30 W to handle all that light 😄

Ah, dang. My best suggestion would be to reset the 3rd. power supply again, and do the pairing once more.
Meilleur vidéo !!! Merci 🤭🤭🙏 ça m'a. Beaucoup aidé
Avec plaisir 😁
Thank you so much! IKEA remote control instruction doesn't explain anything at all 😅
You're very welcome 🤗
built my own 24V constant voltage controller ;)
Excellent 👌

I'm sorry for the confusion. The power supplies do not have to be close to each other, as long as they are in the same room.
Excellent great post 👍
Thanks 👍
perfect 🎉

I tried to connect the remote, however i think my remote is broken. If you press the remote, do you see any lights? Thanks!
If the power supply has been reset, the red light on the remote will be on.
Fresh battery?
Your video is fantastic, and i plan to use it. But can you tell me what remote control to buy ?
Thanks 👍

Ikea should just print a qr code that links to this video. Would save a lot of paper too.
Thank you for your help.
Great idea! Please tell them 😄
I still cant do it. What am i Doing wrong? One led Light inside rudsta Cabinet.
If the power supply is Trådfri, and the battery in the remote is good, try resetting the power supply again.
@kitchensbyrannes thanks I will Try again tomorrow. I dont like the pairing prosess. Really difficult. And not explained in manual. Why so hard?
@kitchensbyrannes yes I have trådfri and skydrag ledlist. Rodret remote.
thanks, that helped!
I would like to unpair it
Try resetting the power supply.
