@@theguybehindyou4762 I don't think he enjoys it. I’ve played thru Alyx regular and hardest difficulty gnome run, it’s amazing, it’s quite possibly the BEST vr game in terms of physics and visuals, but gameplay wise RE4 is the best, ESPECIALLY if you are a fan of the original
The laser sight in re4vr trivializes combat compared to half life. Getting a laser sight on any weapon in alyx is a considerable resource/opportunity cost, but lining up with iron sights or even the reflex sight is hard to do on the move. Plus the combine have guns and incredibly good aim. I love re4vr, but it isn’t really difficult, and just doesn’t have the means to be as immersive as a game specifically designed for vr like alyx.
Now we know why in horror films the main characters for the most part are never competent gun men or soldiers because the horror film turns into an action film
this is literally issue that the resident evil series was having for the longest time. all the main characters were just so experienced you literally couldnt make the games scary
@@sneedsneedsneed9793 likely why we have ethan winters as well as seeing a slew of new characters now, to rebalance the horror element, also makes sense to have the new characters, since when we are looking at the timeline of resident evil, many of the characters are nearing the age where front line combat would start to be a major toll on them physically, I remember in Resident evil Village Epilogue it implies that Chris at that point has retired from front line duties and is now serving more as a base commander. Since we haven't seen anything of jill for such a long time in the current timeline, I'm assuming she just retired.
Tbf (even though most people weren't as fond of them) I really enjoyed the Resi movie adaptations as at least for once the zombies could be fought by professionals, outsmarted and taken down using martials arts (like the games), characters that actually stood a chance whereas most zombie movies at the time were more focused on everyday human surviving the zombie apocalypse etc.
@@Methyll Yeah, and they've also made Rebecca a university professor and Claire a member of terrasave in revelations 2. They've been trying to put characters out of commission for a while now. Although they do make appearances in manga and animated movies.

@@jplosts it depends on the person. I actually found FPS movement and smooth camera controls prevented motion sickness for me, which is the opposite of what you'd expect. And I played in full immersion mode for the fish fight without issue. I have not really done heavy VR use before this game.
It is crazy how far VR has come. Now imagine in the next few years having graphics as good as Demon Souls. By the way your gameplay is, amazing no wonder they sent Mr. Wick in.
There is an option to replicate tank controls in the game so it doesn’t allow strafing left or right and you can only walk forward or backwards in whatever direction you face. I believe too you can turn off laser sights as well. The game is only as easy/hard as you make it, the only thingthats hard to replicate is the speed of aiming compared to the OG.
