Condolences for your injury and damaged skis. Your videos not only show various runs, but we get to see what the resort actually looks like. As for videoed runs, the lack of other ski tracks on this one was apparent.
I do try to make my videos informative and interesting when I can. I was looking for virgin powder, which I kind of got but just not deep enough :-)

Exactly! Once I heard the rock scratching my skis, I kept asking myself whether I should continue... I didn't want to damage my newly serviced skis but in the end, it was too late...

That's not very wise, and when you see grass emerging from the snow right at the top of the hill, it's time to realize that the snow is too thin.
Yes, but I ski on thin snow at the end of season, usually it's not a problem with grass underneath, but I didn't realise this slope is full of rocks...
@@ChasingSnow The mountain does have a bit more rock on it, though, and in the Alps there are usually very few slopes of this kind that are entirely rocky at this altitude.
The sped up sound of you hiking down the trail is pretty funny 😅

Kopaonik, been skiing there for 10 years, this slope was only access to brzece, however ever since they built gondola, they don’t bother to much for this section of the slope, I personally can’t remember that this slope was ever worthy, however as soon as you exit gondola, you have gvozdac (3 slopes) and ledenica, all black ones, if you are adrenaline junk, go there and I promise you exciting run :)

So that's what they named Rocky Road Ice Cream after. Would waxing fill in the cuts and scratches or are you in the market for new skis? I've been on some thin covers before, but not that thin and especially not that rocky. Well, at least it was a lot of poling to get there.
You need ptex to repair gauges in the base, but he replied to other comments saying the core is broken, too
One ski is damaged, and I've just got them back from the service place. In one section, the bottom has detached from the wood and is protruding out...
Yeah, part of the bottom has detached. I have a spare ski to replace it but that one is at home...

@@pilifiksveurg6642 As I was going up the gondola I was looking at the condition of the piste and it looked good. It didn't quite turn out that way but it was the first of many runs I did that day. The next video will follow from that one, it's usually the way I do my videos...just that I've been skiing many resorts this season and it's the first time I've come across poor snow conditions...
Sadly not deep enough. But when the way starts to be uncomfortable, thats where the adventure begins. Others would have never shown this footage, therefor thank you for showing us the possible consequences of a bad choice. Your skis look servicable by the way. Sometimes the locals can show nice routes to tourists, I would love to see you do more off-Piste runs. But I would like to see you doing that with a ski buddy.
I think we need to show the good with the bad, I don't crash often (these days) but I'm not shy to admit I made a bad choice. I got the skis back today after being serviced and one is damaged... the wood core cracked and the bottom surface has detached. I can probably get a few skis out of it before it's gone. The good news is that I have a spare good ski from another pair I purchased. I hope to do some awesome off-piste runs later in the season, if conditions permit...

Snow looked OK going up on the gondola so I gave it a try. I was in Brezovica a few days earlier, and there were no problems with snow cover. I was surprised the cover is so poor at Kop...

Snow cover was poor when I was there, I haven't seen it like that before (in Late January) whereas plenty of snow everywhere else I've been...

It was closed... I was looking for some powder :-)

Tako uvek skijam u Evropi... vise je interesantnije...
@@ChasingSnow I bolje za skije polomiti. :) Žao mi je da si imao užasno iskustvo, ali zatvaraju ih s razlogom, jbg. Sem toga, u većini zapadnih skijališta za ulazak na zatvoreni dio planine se uzimaju ski passevi, dijele kazne, itd, itd. Da ne govorim o tome da te osiguranje neće pokriti ako ti se nešto desi mimo označene piste. Mani se toga, uživaj u skijanju, a ne u kamenju. :)
@@jugradeka9488 Možda vam u SAD uzimaju ski-pas, ali ne u Evropi. Uvek skijam van staza i zatvorene staze, bez problema, ali da, bez osiguranja...to je moj rizik
Following your videos with jealousy 😊 you’re getting in so much skiing. Too bad about your ski’s. How important is the damage? When you are skiing that much, consider servicing your ski’s yourself. At least sharpening and waxing is a really easy and rewarding job.
Cheers, I'll be skiing for the whole season... I took the skis in for another service and there it was found that one ski had been damaged, the wood core broke. I have another two pairs with me, and a spare good ski I can replace with the damaged one. I'll just have to get it after skiing in Bansko...
@@ChasingSnow OMG even the wood core? A video never really renders the difficulty of the slope or the real condition it is in. Good that you have another pair!

Ja sam kriv, staza je bila zatvorena... I was surprised that Kopaonik had such little snow. Everywhere else I skied had plenty...
