- Rubba and I head to the lake by a dam for a car and tarp overnight camp with some nice rain. Cooked up some some tasty smoked sausages on the Weber Smokey Joe BBQ with fried onions and eggs cooked in the cast iron skillet.
Woke up to rain the next morning and another tasty breakfast in the cast iron
skillet this time smoked sausages spaghetti and eggs on the gas stove.
Enjoy some ambience with rain on the heavy duty tarp

Kia Ora been watching your vids right from the start,think you & steve wallis started about the same time,heres a little hack ive bee using for awhile with my spare storage plastic boxes & chilly bin ,i got a good size plastic chopping board & a wooden one,& drilled them into the lids of each one careful not to drill right thru the lids,i can stack 2 high or just use a single bin to chop what ever,& use the wooden boarded one to put my hot pan on when need to rest it while off the Heat,the plastic one to do veges etc,makes for good tables as well& easy to wipe clean.
Yes, something I don't miss about living in New Zealand is the rain and the cold weather. Otherwise, thanks for the vid, helps me sleep at night 🥰

I did enjoy myself on this camp Shaneo especially with the rain, the more the better 😬 It makes it too dark to film with the black on the inside, hard to see me with the black background apparently 😏😅

Your tarp set up is awesome, I bought a hiker fly to use off either the back of my ute canopy or the shuttle trailer depending on the trip. I used it once but bought a rear car awning with fibreglass poles which is easier but I really needed to give the fly another go.

Bro, you should get yourself a 3m x 3m OZ Trail Gazeebo. They're mean and it will fit over the back of your waka quite nicely with the boot lid up.

Car camping is a bit depressing maybe join up with a few people who do it to survive and discuss the negatives and the positives be real good.Address a problem we have with housing
