  • You can put a sanitary tee on the inlet it just gets clogged with grease really quick! You don't have to put the 90 degree elbows if you don't need them! In some cases you can run it straight out! It all depends on your land!

I like the idea of a grease trap for the kitchen sink so I'm thinking of adding this to my small house in the woods. I looked at your septic system video too since I'm in need of septic also. Thanks for the videos!

How do you dispose of the solids and floaters from the cleanout?

wow, i wonder how well it filters out solids because if it does it well enough, i might take that water and run it through a solar still and recycle teh water on a desert property i own, considering this because the soil doesn't percolate well, and water reuse will be extremely important

My concern is the contents getting churned up and mixed when grey water flows in. What are your thoughts about adding a baffle or maybe a 2 bucket system so that more settling occurs and less chance of mixed particles escaping? It would be interesting to see what happens when water enters.

2 is better than 1 for sure, you can add a sanitary tee on the inlet you just have to clean it every once in a while, 2 bucket system would be great!

Do you need to prime it with clean water to start?

I'm debating on adding one. Is this really necessary if you add an underground leach field? Clogging would be my only concern, it seems like I could just plunge the sink drain if it does.

Hey is it possible to make something like this but to catch stuff before it gets to the drain field an ruins the whole system?? Like for example in a rental property where the tenants are not familiar how to properly care for a septic system, or maybe they are malicious and wish to cause damage to their landlord?? I was thinking like a smaller inline septic tank that then flows out to the main septic tank that then flows to the drain field. Does something like this exist and if so what is it called?
