20 years ago I purchased a box of 03-04 UD Exquisite at my local mall. I spent big because I'm a huge Syracuse Carmelo fan and was hoping for him. I pulled a Lebron 3 color Auto Patch /100. I then traded it to the shop owner for two more boxes. I pulled nothing but a Darko Patch and two other bums. I've never recovered and last night I checked the price on ebay. OMG.
The craziest part to me is how much better the quality of these cards are than new product. These are 20 years old and have less print lines and issues than a new hobby box..
Shows why topps is better and always will be better than any panini product imo .! The fact insert cards aren't special but the same card in 15 diff colors are what people chase? Sad even tho today U get autos everywhere they werent as widespread back then but u get bs autos so its kinda weak..maybe cuz I grew up in the 90s and ripped rookies of shaq,garnett,,kobe,ray allen ,nash,duncan,Dirk and non rookie jordans(my main focus anything Jordan my mom spoiled me with some incredible memorabilia) I pulled a 98 skybox ruby Jordan when I was 9 the LCS owner convinced me to trade it to him for a sealed box of the same Skybox premium cuz an autos in there ...he hustled me in that month I pulled 2 Jordan skyviews $.99 95-86 nba hoops packs they were 1:4800 I got 2 in a week and one pack had a Barkley skyyview as well him and the 8 others were 1:480...back to the hustle ingot an auto all right of freaking Steve Kerr that Jordan i traded I cant find under $1500
Always forget how good the 2003 class was too. Lots of other good players besides LeBron. Thank you for opening these kinds of boxes for us and allowing us to have potential to get great cards too.
Oh and one more thing man. Don’t ever apologize for the slow speed on your breaks. I legit respect that. I hate when other breakers just fly by the base cards just to get to the main cards. Pisses me off. Just shows you really respect and love the hobby. Wish more breakers would like you. Go by every card and appreciate the players. Specially when it comes to old school players.

Good job not selling it when it was tempting when it went 10x the actual value. I would have done the same. The memory is worth more. Plus it’ll go back up eventually over time

Carmello is both highly regarded but criminally underrated. I think people forget how good a scorer he was in all facets. He still holds the three point record for a single game in the olympics lol
Dude, that's one of the best 2003 Topps Chrome boxes I have ever seen. We got into a case back in the day and it didn't have anything close to what you got in your box.

I was in the middle of watching your video when I paused for a moment to think about the best cards I pulled out of this product back in the day. It was winter of 2003 and I was at a job about an hour away from home. During my lunch break I bought roughly a dozen packs of 2003-2004 Topps chrome retail from a local grocery store near where I was working. I pulled a Carmelo Anthony Refractor that day and I was just reminiscing about how excited I was to pull it. Then I unpause your video and continue to watch and believe it or not you pulled the Carmelo Anthony Refractor less than 10 seconds later. Crazy coincidence, almost hard to believe :-), but that’s the honest truth. Great box so far, I’m going to unpause and continue to watch☺️
