    It’s me watching this while breastfeeding 😂. For me Massi breastfeeding has been a breeze, my baby is almost 5 months and from day one producing milk was never an issue. I’m really grateful for that. I find that ensuring I eat breakfast everyday (specifically oats) , drinking lots of water and eating whenever I’m hungry has sort of assisted in my milk supply.

    • @massinokeri
      @massinokeri  Год назад +1

      Exactly mommy. Just never going hungry is key to be honest. I found this quite early on and I’m happy I did. I see a lot of moms on diets and things 🥹 Can never be me, especially because my goals are to breastfeed until I decide not to.
      So happy things are looking grand for you 😅❤️

    I’m so glad you filmed this, I’m new mom to an 8 week baby boy and ma’am did I not struggle with milk the first few days😢 It pained me seeing my baby cry because he wasn’t getting enough milk, as a result I asked the nurses to give him a top up of formula and giving him formula wasn’t part of the plan but my baby had to eat.
    We bought him formula and after 2 weeks I was like no sir I’m going to give you breast milk and nothing else 😂 look at us now happily exclusive breastfeeding 🎉. Thanks for sharing momma ❤

    Totally agree with you on everything! I didn't struggle with both my kids and honestly I did nothing special, the milk was just there. Secondly, me too I can't wait to have my body back but also sad that I'm approaching the 12 months weaning off target. Basically, relatable content mommy, enkosi ❤

    Thank you Masi for the Vlog hle, so informative ❤ I’m passionate about breastfeeding shem, mom of 2 here and with my first baby Breastfeeding was so emotionally and physically taxing that when he reached 3 months I stopped.
    I use to work for a company that had a mommies room with a fridge and a comfortable place for breastfeeding apparently it’s a law now. And you can raise it with HR if you need a comfortable pumping space.
    I agree with the points you raised, I’m 2 months into feeding for the second and I’m trying so hard not to think about my losing weight, I’m focusing on breastfeeding until he is 12 months or more even. What I would also say( maybe you mentioned) continue taking your Multivitamins and create a pumping schedule to avoid an over supply which could be painful and cause cracked nipples. Drink Water and don’t listen to pressure babies grow from Formula too.
    sorry for the long comment I’m just passionate about breastfeeding and I just love the bond it creates

      The day I decided to accept that my body no-longer is mine but my baby’s I had peace of mind. I quit gym and I started to focus on just his health and well-being. We are happy in our breastfeeding journey and nothing more matters to me :)
      Although in left with a few months till we wean, I’ll definitely take my HR up on this one. I’m doing it for other moms who’ll come after me ❤️

    Please advise when you take the milk out of the freezer, how do you defrost it

    • @massinokeri
      @massinokeri  Год назад +2

      I thaw in hot water or in my bottle warmer mommy. So you take it as is from the freezer and place frozen milk in a bowl of hot water. You can’t use the microwave for breastmilk

    Adequate hydration is very important for breast milk production. The amount of liquid you put into your body affects how much breast milk you can produce.

    This is such a beautiful video and sana I tried everything lol. Jungle Juice, Stoney, pills everything but my milk was like girl, not this time. I really pray that my next baby will have the boob for longer. I also noticed that so many things maan can impact your milk supply - anxiety of being a FTM, not sleeping and not eating well.

      I can’t imagine what you are going through. Have you consulted with a lactation consultant? I think they’d be able to advise accordingly.
      My lactation consultants once told me if you get cracked, chances are the baby isn’t latching well. Please look into it babe… All the best ❤️

      @@lungiehnxumalo5689 I had cracked nipples few weeks back , it’s very painful and uncomfortable. I used virgin coconut oil on my nipples occasionally instead of nipple cream Because it absorbs faster also, soak a cotton pad in breast milk and just place it on the nipple like a breastpad. I hope that helps and you heal soon ❤

    Breastfeeding was difficult for me at first. My child is a month old and the time he latched I didn't have milk yet. So I pumped and like you, day 3 there was milk. But unfortunately he didn't want to latch then. So I had no choice but to pump and feed him from the bottle. I didn't give up but kept on teaching him how to latch and he finally got it. My only worry is that I don't know if his getting much milk as I don't produce much milk anymore.

      Oh wow, love that you were intentional about breastfeeding mommy. Love it!
      As long as he poops and wees enough and fine then he’s definitely getting enough ☺️ Check with your Gynae in terms of how much diapers you should be changing for his age then that should give you an indication❤️
