HK and Thundercat are really what’s happening right now. Amazingly musical and refreshing in comparison to what the media pushers are trying to trick us with these days. Soulful, inspirational, beautiful and real - hallelujah!!
It's so nice when you really really like a singer's "singing charisma" and their voice and the song they sing seems so difficult to sing so you're wondering whether they're gonna smash it live too AND THEN THEY DO OH MY GOD THIS LADY, THIS IS AMAZING I CAN'T!!!!!!
There has to be something analogous to this but I've never heard anything like it. The grooves are superb, the singing and playing seem not to be of this world. 'Choose Your Weapon' is easily one of the best collections of tunes I have heard in my life and I'm grandpa old.
With all the commercial radio crap fed into people's heads these days, I fall deeply in love with this group's sound. It gives me hope that true music can still be made and have an audience.
Ty Truant It's hard for me to even listen to the album version after hearing this. I think they produce their own recordings, but I wish they would get out of the way of themselves a bit more - the live sound is so perfect and doesn't need augmentation in the studio.
The new album is so good I didnt even know this song was on there. I cant get past the fat grove on fingertips. Give me another week and I will finish the album.
I love your takes on live performances. I feel like I can artistically relate to everything you guys do, and seeing you a couple weeks ago sealed that belief. Thanks for the inspiration yall

Might not get, might not get any better
Might not, might not get, might not get any better
Might not, might not get, might not get any better
Might not, might not get, might not get any better
[Verse 1]
You the born hunter
Relic with an armored heart
Color of sulfur
Banished to a single arc
Porcelain smolder and don't forget you're state of the art
Buried deep in the soil, selfless or daft
[Hook]
It could be a compass, rare and so bountiful
It could be the opposing opinion
It could be the point of traction bound to all
It could be the point of letting it go
It could be a compass, rare and so bountiful
It could be the opposing opinion
It could be the point of traction bound to all
It could be the point of letting it go
[Verse 2]
Running with my eyes closed
Blinding the lens with the focus
Running with my eyes closed
Finding omens in the woodwork
I see cold cold braille
Mechanical and frail
How do i tessellate, filter the rage
[Verse 1]
You the born hunter
Relic with an armored heart
Color of sulfur
Banished to a single arc
Porcelain smolder and don't forget you're state of the art
Buried deep in the soil, selfless or daft
