Neo-Soul / Indie Soul is a timeless musical genre that fuses real instrumental, Jazz, Contemporary R&B and 1970s-style Soul,Funk,Rock and House Music with some elements of hip-hop. As it's name (new soul) implies, Neo-Soul / Indie Soul music is essentially modern-day soul music, with contemporary attitudes and sensibilities. +Jae White Jesse Boykins iii has DEFINITELY changed his sound. "The beauty created" and last year's "love apparatus" sound like two completely different artists and genres. After 2010, he totally changed his whole style. I still bump his old music heavily though, I miss it.

With all the commercial radio crap fed into people's heads these days, I fall deeply in love with this group's sound. It gives me hope that true music can still be made and have an audience.

There has to be something analogous to this but I've never heard anything like it. The grooves are superb, the singing and playing seem not to be of this world. 'Choose Your Weapon' is easily one of the best collections of tunes I have heard in my life and I'm grandpa old.

Love it when the live sounds even smoother than the album. Which means it sounds even better.
Ty Truant It's hard for me to even listen to the album version after hearing this. I think they produce their own recordings, but I wish they would get out of the way of themselves a bit more - the live sound is so perfect and doesn't need augmentation in the studio.
LOL the mix here is embarrassingly bad. This is not "smoother" than the album.
