There is actually a questline where if you do the dlc before Sif and give the Soul of Artorius to an NPC, the dog is your friend and drops the covenant of Artorius ring willingly. It's pretty badass

Nice video! A little tip to help slightly with RNG drops, if you have 10 soft humanity (in the top left) it raises your item discovery slightly. pair this with the gold serpent ring and you are at max item discovery. (You can also use the symbol of Avarice instead of the ring to raise item discovery, but that drains HP over time)
The first humanity makes the biggest difference, more than that still helps but with diminishing returns and even a sharper cutoff after 10

Happy to see this,definitely one of my favorite platinums and my second platinum ever but the rng grind for certain items were a medieval torture method. (Channelers trident)
Congrats on getting the platinum trophy in Dark Souls. If your planning on getting the platinum in all the souls games, I have a tip for getting items from enemies who have fallen off cliffs. If you quit and reload the items will be where they fell.
I was just about the type this in chat, its a great tip and sorta hidden mechanic.

Congrats on DS1 plat, if you plan on getting DS2 and DS3 plat in the future all I have to say is good luck you'll need it especially farming the covenant items. I did it recently and it was a pain but maybe you will have better luck than me like you did with the Channeler's Trident

@@TannerJaye seeing how you do this for youtube, you'll probably want to do it legitimately, but in theory you could just get another player to drop you all the rings at once so you don't have to go to NG+2 to get them yourself. there are 116 rings in DS3 for example (only 107 required for the trophy). sadly you will still have to farm convenant items, since they can't be dropped.
Finished this platinum myself recently besides the weapon upgrades was really fun

The fact you can farm covenant items from enemies makes this platinum very achievable for people who don't have ps friends to play with, it was a great play run for me but I've played it a million times anyway haha

I love how much the difficulty of this game varies player to player. Cif took me about 2 weeks of constant runs, literally bearly quit the game. Then ornstein/smough and Nito i beat first time.

Great vid, yes the ds1 platinum is a grind but the feeling of getting, makes it so worth it haha. Don't think you mentionned it, but even if there's no trophy, you should play the dlc. It's not super long and there's the coolest boss of ds1

18:53 You probably know that by now, but for anyone who doesn't: You can avoid rolling of a platform by using the plunge attack. It wasn't the problem here, but I thought I throw this bit of info into the ring. There were a few ledges in DS2 where you didn't have enough room for a roll after a jump.
Also well done, I've gotten the platinum/100% three times now (twice on Steam + once on PSN) and while I'm not a big fan on the grind for the drops either it's always been a good excuse to come back to the game, especially if you get a Black Knight weapon early in the game.

Such a good game. Definitely in my top 10 of all time. Platinumed it on ps3 and ps4. Currently trying to do sekiro plat but compared to dark souls and bloodborne i am finding it so much more difficult. Edit: i put sekiro on hold and came back to it recently and it clicked i was trying to play it like dark souls instead of playing it like sekiro where you need to parry attacks where as in dark souls i would turtle behind my shield which is not an option in sekiro. Sekiro is now definitely in my top 10 ps4 games.

GG on the platinum. But just so your aware for any future playthroughs or if you go for the platinum's on the rest of the souls games, if you kill an npc and their body falls off a cliff, you can save and quit and their loot will be where their body would spawn in.
I did try that actually but it didn't work 🥲
@TannerJaye hmm weird, maybe it's because it's an npc that's summoned to your world, not one that was already there.
That stupid Channeler's Trident... I will never forget my time trying to get that drop.
I first played this game on PS4. It took me 3 hours to get it to drop. Everything else was pretty painless. Some time later I played it the game on PC. I wasn't going to 100% it again, but while going through the Library the VERY FIRST channeler I killed dropped it so I ended up completing everything again, lol.
There was also a pretty easy to do speedrunner glitch to get past the door that leads to the final boss, so I used that to cut A LOT out for my the second playthrough. Simply get the boss souls you need and then skip to the final boss. It involved closing the game while it's loading, so I don't know if it works as easily on PS5.
Anyway, Dark Souls 1 plat is cakewalk compared to Dark Souls 3. That one has longer grinds and some bosses than can actually be hard. It requires going deep into NG+2 for all the rings. I will be waiting for a video on that one =D.

Thanks man! I personally record it over in OBS and use the audio track but I know there are ways to just record straight from your video editor.
So you just record the voice over in OBS and strip the video part when editing? Just to be clear, I don't mean the voice over for the game, just the voice over for the video specifically

i don't know if you alredy know this, but when a drop spawn in a place that is impossible to reach you can just quit the game and reopen it, after you do that the item should spawn right where the npc was, Anyway great video man, keep up the grat work!

@TannerJaye Honestly, I'd probably rather go for the platinum for Red Dead Redemption II again. Granted, that took me about 226 hours, but at least the superb story and characters make the grind a bit more bearable.
Edit: I'm not shitting on DSIII, I love it, but holy shit it's insane. At least after III, there will only be Demon's Spuls and Sekiro to deal with.

It’s a great game though it really depends on the type of games you want to plat but I also highly recommend trying for the superhot plat it’s a bit challenging but the gameplay is addictive and I haven’t seen anyone cover it for a platinum which is a shame because it was one of the best games that came out with Xbox one

Good job on the platinum! This is the perfect gateway into soulslikes imo, as this is the game that a lot of soulslikes use a blueprint. Watch out for Dark Souls 2 when you get to it, that game is known for being the worst of the 3 Souls games by a heavy margin.
