When I bought my truck, paid sales tax too. The only thing I was a bit nervous and questioning about because I got it finance. The finance company wanted to be titled in Utah where I bought the truck, but I live in New York hasn’t caused any other issues.

I didn’t pay sale taxes until my truck was completely paid off. I paid sale taxes when I had the truck title put in my name. I’m in Georgia.

You dont pay sales tax on commercial trucks in Michigan. You fill out the exemption form for rolling stock.

Yup that's where I live and all I had to pay was less than 200 bucks total for my title transfer.

Sales tax on big rigs is ONLY exempt if you title it under your AUTHORITY. Meaning you need an active US DOT number and MC. If you don’t title it under your MC, you’ll pay taxes. If you buy a second truck, you’ll save a lot of money if you have an active MC. Why the dislike for Super Singles?? I just got them on my truck…

I'm on my second truck, and i did not pay sales tax, I was able to use the company I haul for. tax exempt number... I have heard that there's a way to be sale tax exempt by the amount of miles driven by that unit
