Little known fact, LP uses an ukulele to write her songs =P I also love the fact that she conveys the emotion of "sorrow and torment" when she's singing the "Ooohhhhh Ooohhhh Ooooooohhhhhh"
For the range of both voice and whistle take a look at LP Forever For Now Live from Sun Studio. And for pure vocal prowess listen to her/ them cover Halo. LP’s mother was an opera singer and heard her daughter’s talent from a young age and had her train her voice classically.
I am very excited that your found LP. I have been following LP for a while and saw a live show in Philly last year. LP has the most laid back personality with amazing vocal technique and good with lyrics. A great rabbit hole to explore. While I can agree that that cover is enjoyable, it takes this raw, ANGRY, confrontational song and turns it into a whiny pity-fest of sound.

Born Female. Her personal identity is more fluid than that, and doesn't fuss with people's perception of what they see. In interviews, LP is all peace, love, harmony and wants all individuals to have self identity/self acceptance.
Tell the truth please... You thought that was a man when she started didn't you... It's okay really... Some look at it in a weird way, I was absolutely fascinated... I'm 2/3 through your video at this point and I feel like you're struggling with whether this is a male with a voice like a female... Or what you just don't know.. but I appreciate that you keep pointing out how beautiful the vocals are❤
