Probably the most well organized guitar store ever with the ultimate demonstrators !!! Highest quality videos ever !!! 🙌
Thanks for the kind words!
100% agree!!!
Jack is the best demonstrator on the web - clear concise explanations and incredible playing... awesome. 👍
My favorite sounding PRS ever.
saddlebag
One of their lightest models too if that matters to you. I think mine’s right around 6 lbs. ten top and ten top grade of wood on the back as well.
So many beautiful sounds, man... It's unreal.
And Jack did a fantastic job. Would love to see this guitar a bit more.
Cheers
Jack- this is a brilliant demo. Super informative and clear and excellent playing. Thank you!
Thank you, Will!
❤️ this guitar and would buy one even I can't play
Great playing! Always enjoy watching and listening to you, and I'm older and have been playing many years. Please keep making more videos! Thanks!
Crazy playing, more video with Jack!
Came here for the PRS and loved the TC-50 tones too. Was recently looking at those. May need to look a little closer.
I have 2. One of my absolute favorite guitars
Amazing guitar, great playing as always from Jack.
Jack wrings these guitars out. Anytime I want a real demo, I check here for one from him. Great stuff and it ages very well - Glad Peach doesn't pull the video down.
Great demo, Jack, I learned a lot. The store looks awesome. Next time I cross the pond, ...!
Great playing and gorgeous guitar!!
That is an absolutely stunning example of a Hollowbody ii.
I love my Fire Red Burst HBii ans its an amazing instrument. You really do a great job of demonstrating that. If I could afford another, I would certainly add this one as its such a stunning guitar
Back off BAM, she's mine! 😉 LOVE this PRS. One day I'd like to own this model. It's perfect.
Fantastic demo, thank you.
Thank You! Ist really very interesting
A great demo as alway Sir Jack!
You do the most informed reviews in the market place
Nice demo Eric foreman! Love the HB2!
Oh my God! More beauty is impossible. I fell in love with it. I have the PRS SE Hollowbody II Piezo, and yes I love it too. But this here is unbeleavible.
Okey, I will be verry happy with my PRS. I think the sound is verry close. Thank you for showing an sharing.
Top-notch demo. Well done. Fabulous guitar
Love these demos. Great player!
I own this one and love it. And I never use the piezo pickups...
Well done sir.
I have a 20th anniversary piezo Hollowbody II. So many options with this guitar but when it’s time to rock it out, I grab a Les Paul or Strat. Ballads, acoustic tones, with the right amp, are great. You’ll need to fine the right amp for your needs with this guitar preferably with an amp switcher and an acoustic and regular guitar amp. It’s setup to be used that way with the two outputs.
thank you.
When playing unplugged are there any acoustic sound qualities or does it just sound like a solid body? Thanks.
This guitar is much louder than a solid body playing unplugged - not acoustic guitar level - think somewhere between a solid body and a fender acoustasonic unplugged.
A fantastic demo could you please on future videos zoom in on the guitars controls so as to get a clearer close up view sorry, thankyou
Another Perfect guitar, What else from PRS ?
Thanks for letting us know what hes playing thru
Amazing!!
hey does jack have a band? that would be cool to check out
A Top-10 version of one of these is my dream instrument. Gotta eliminate pretty much all debt before I can think about even financing a $6K guitar lol. I've played other guitars with piezos that have gimmicky sounding acoustic tones and corner-cutting electric sounds, usually terrible clarity. But this thing...it's not just a gimmick. It has boutique electric sounds and the best piezo sounds I've ever heard in an electric instrument. Couple that with the gorgeous aesthetics and primo hardware from head to toe and you have the kind of guitar you insure and pass on to your kids.
Just to confirm- Did you say you can blend the piezo with the magnetic and have the combined sound come out of the just the magnetic output, into an amp if you want to?
Exactly that!
@@PeachGuitars That's sweet!
I like it, I would love to hear it cranked through a 15-30w combo and see what kind of feedback chasing it can really do. I have no need for a piezo at all, I cant stand them. And these pickups, I would describe as clarity buckers. They’re good but, I would almost just rather have this with P90’s and no frills. No fancy flame no piezo just a wrap tail P90’s and rock n roll blues.. Simple ya know. Do they even make that?
This guitar is the real deal
you play so very good
If it only could be supplied with Jack's skills…
I am unclear on the function of the switch with regards to the two outputs. Is the switch controlling just the routing to the mixed output (which would make most sense), or to both outputs? If the switch is on magnetic only, will the piezo output be silent? It is great to be able to blend piezo and magnetic, but only if you can treat them separately. Ideally, it should be possible to get pure electric from the mixed output and pure acoustic from the piezo output. It would not make sense to have piezo signal coming out from both outputs. But your explanation given was not clear about that. The problem I see with this system is that in the "middle" position of the pickup switch, the piezo signal goes to both the electric and the piezo output. This is a design failure in my opinion. No need to have the piezo signal going to the electric guitar amp if you are already using the piezo output on an acoustic guitar amp. Otherwise, very tempted to get this guitar. Close to perfect for me. Alas, this gross design error is a bit of a show stopper. Thanks.
The positions of the Piezo and magnetic 3 way switch switch between; just Piezo on, both pickups on & just magnetic pickup on. The Piezo signal will always go through the 2nd output of the guitar so it wouldn't mix into the electric guitar signal chain. You're able to get some fantastic tones with the individual pickups on as well as some equally brilliant tones with the two pickup systems on together.
Thanks. Hmmm.... Let me get this straight. 1) If the switch is in the magnetic only position, will you still get piezo signal from the piezo jack output? Yes/No? 2) If the switch is in the piezo only position, will you get the same piezo signal coming out from both jack outputs? Yes/No? Thanks again for your patience!
Great video mate ... thank you :)
That hair makes you look like that dude from Stranger Things lol
If he ever goes bald, I'll be shocked. Of course, I'll probably be dead by then.
He looks like Jack Grealish especially when he clips his hair up
Is the finish Charcoal Cherry Burst?
burnt maple leaf
Okay, time to sell my second kidney.
Stunning playing and sound as always jack. You and That guitar is a killer combo. But holy shit it's expensive!!!!. worth it if you play in a band a lot I guess? But tough as nuts to resell at a reasonable price. Not many amateur players are in a position to buy instruments like this. Wealthy lawyers who don't play much go for custom shops and gibsons cause of the branding and mojo. Which reduces the potential pool of people who can afford and are willing to pay this much. For a guitar. So Expect to take a bath to the tune of 50% if you want to resell this beauty. The depreciation alone is enough to buy another high end guitar. Prs guitars have a limited pool of considerers and unlike gibsons and fenders they polarise players. In Australia many guitar shops simply do not carry Prs at all for this reason. This reduces resale value and potential dramatically. And they don't attract vintage value either. So an 80s les Paul custom actually has vintage value. An 80s Prs doesn't. It's just an old Prs. The economics of guitar brands are not at all equal. Music man guitars also suffer from horrible resale value because they have no mojo for the average punter despite being good guitars. Same as Reverend. Greg Koch Demos of reverend guitars are attracting hardly any views compared to his wildwood demos of expensive fenders and gibsons. Again it's branding mojo. Not build quality.
So if you buy this guitar you will need to be in serious love with it because ownership comes with a hefty price in more ways than one. You would be petrified of putting a scratch on this pristine instrument.
BrandOdyssey
As long as you pay retail prices with the 100% markup most guitars will never be an investment when you try to sell one you’ll be shocked at how much you overpaid. This is true of most high end guitars, well all guitars but the hit you take on the high end models is huge especially if they aren’t a discontinued model and are still being produced by the thousands every year
That dirty tone was very sexy, very AC/DC like.
$5k-$6k for a 2 piece back and top?
Are you insinuating that it should be cheaper because they're bookmatching the top and back? If so, clearly you haven't seen many guitars. That's the industry standard going back to the 50's.
Those PRS are well made but not my taste...You play a Telecaster, you feels he beast in it, you play a LP or es 335 you feel it...You play a PRS, well, nothing for me...But what a great moment watching you playing it !!!
That's what I thought until I grabbed a DGT…
I couldn’t get on with PRS until I bought a Silver Sky & then McCarty 594... wow 😳 594 is best guitar I have ever played - just amazing.
Beautiful guitar but aargh!!! keep that watchstrap away from it.....
Jack you're such a beautiful, tasteful player. But that guitar is hideous. :P
Talk about overpriced
Glenn Rose-Ward
While PRS does make great and beautiful instruments they are indeed way overpriced. Don’t think so? You’ll find out when you want to sell one of yours. Buy second hand and save some money.
Dont own a prs
Glenn Rose-Ward
I own too many, each one gorgeous and well made and comfortable but yeah, overpriced. You’ll never come close to getting your money back when you sell but most people don’t buy a guitar with selling it in mind. Point is, they are NOT an investment but most other guitars aren’t either.
