i loved these cars and wish i bought 1 years ago when they where around 4-5k ish around 3-4 years ago. One was painted red and had turbo lettering on the side of the car and sold for 2.5k because the guy lost his license

wait so youre telling ME that a stock 7afe can support a turbo? how much pressure can it handle before stronger internal parts are needed?
7-8 psi seems to be the sweet spot, factory boost is only around 5psi, any further than that and head studs etc need attention.

Recently bought myself a 2000 ae112r levin with the 7a-fe twin cam as a first car while im my L's after so much crap with my paper work, brilliant car. handles amazingly with the 185/60r14's on it. my only complain is the typical toyota shifter cables need a bit of tightening.

Do we have any nerdy info.. like what did they do to the stock 4AFE in the factory, how much psi boost was factory, any changes to the c52, was it inter cooled etc.. I’d be grateful to know as someone who owns an na 4AFE.. but would like to turbo one day.

i mean its already missing the TURBO valve cover, so i presume its already been through a motor, those gearboxes are known to grenade too...
