I don’t know if you remember, but that time you reacted to Japanese high school volleyball, rakunan vs higayshiyama (I forgot the names), the number 1 was actually Ran Takahashi. Kinda cool you reacted to him play, and then ended up playing him.
Yeah what a game. Didn’t realise that France just have Jenia and Earvin passing as a two passer system. It makes sense 😅 You say why they keep serving to Ngapeth, but the other option is Grebennikov, crazy. Gotta serve to Clevenot somehow, but he’s just not taking much of the court.
I remember watching this match. I already played volleyball and I was already rooting for Japan, but man this just wanted to make me play even more. This game was amazing, and I'm glad I was able to watch it.
I remember watching this match, I was so nervous that France was actually gonna lose, it was so intense but France pulled through, it could've gone either way so props to Japan because I thought they were going to get swept by France 3-0
These two teams are always so awesome to watch! Extremely talented players on both sides. In your opinion and based on who you've competed against, who is the hardest hitter to read?
I don’t know if you have already done this, but I wanna see a reaction video on a match of USA v Japan. Such great teams with amazing players, those games seem so unreal and are always fun to watch!
Hej Erik. Jesteś wspaniałym libero, ale ten ostatni mecz z Aluronem to zagrałeś perfekcyjnie. Pozdrawiam Cię serdecznie i życzę Ci zawsze tak fantastycznej gry.
I notice that great passers, like you, Grebennikov, Ngapeth, etc, mostly try to contact the ball kinda in front you. This, however, requires sometimes to move quickly to the ball. I wonder how you move that fast when there is a hard serve like above 100km/h? Or do you analyze the server in advance, like the favourite directions of service the usual depth of service into the court and so on and choose your receive position based on this knowledge?
At 6:40, I feel that Takahashi would have normally went line there, after reading that the defense is lagging so much. Yet he still cut hard angle and kind of gave the middle blocker a chance at the block despite the middle being late. I can't wrap my head around it -- was it potentially a high-level play that I'm missing or did Takahashi just miss that opportunity to go line? I also saw that the blockers had a feel that he was going angle, as the oppo moved to block the angle, so I'm just confused a bit here.
hey erik, i watch every single one of your videos and you always do an amazing job at breaking down the game play, but i dont quite understand why the lib gets off the line at 11:58. Wouldnt staying on line make the most sense because the blockers leave it open? thanks erik!
Based on the angle of approach and where Japan maybe scouted Boyer to hit, Yamamoto does a great job of lining up off the line. Usually hitters will try to hit more inside of the court if there is some line and like to hit right outside of the block. It can be risky to hit directly on the line.
France is putting away Clevenot from reception while N'Gapeth is frontcourt to get just him and Grebennikov... Just saying that shows how good N'Gapeth is at passing !!
could you make a video in which you react to your own passing practice and show what you are doing and why and maybe show what you do wrong(sorry for the bad english i'm german but i always watch your Videos)
Isn't a 3:59 France mistake and violations? He stepped in their court and also pushed player in opposite team? I know that he thought that it was outside the net and he could save it, but after this situation (The ball wasn't outside)...? If they blocked Nishida, wouldn't the point have gone to Japan anyway?
in the match against Zawiercie you deserved MVP In the match against Zawiercie you deserved MVP! I hope you will finally be appreciated. thanks for the beautiful game
Can we just appreciate Boyer flying with his entire face above the net to try block a ball? Also N'gapeth passing is too good man, unreal.
LMAO N'Gapeth after Nishida hits it off his block at 13:29 is hilarious.
I noticed it tooo!!! That’s insane :D but cute for sure
Yeah ngapeth in the net x)
This was an incredible match. And who does not like watching Japan!
This was an awesome game. 2 teams with amazing defence.
Btw Erik you played sooo good against Zawiercie
Thank you!
Nishida killing a set when he was commit blocked by two legends Ngapeth & Le Geoff who are both bigger than him is MIND BLOWING

Oooooh that’s a tough question! So many amazing hitters out there. I’ve competed against these teams and Ngapeth and Ishikawa are difficult to reason

Another awesome reaction as always!!
Ngapeth again being wildly efficient in everything he does. man spikes like Brazil's Wallace de Souza with the relaxed 2 steps.
Love these videos ❤ Keep it going 🙌
This match and also Italy vs France in the quarter finals were the best
Thank you, always🙏💐That would be 4:30in Japan...could stay up but maybe shouldn't😂 Happy to have something fun to watch as soon as I wake up!

Thanks for your question. This is a defensive move I have been working on as well! It’s fun to practice!
@@ErikShojivolleyball thank you!
someone verify this man!
1:31 the way that this man fell looked painful when he had contact with the ball
12:02 Bro Boyer's hips are nearly above the net 💀
It’s the angle

How does it feel to receive a Nishida Jump serve? I bet it looks insane when the ball is coming to you.
Hey erik i'm a outside of my club bit i want to get better at receives and digs do you have any tips?
Hey Erik. When playing left back how far to the left of the block should you stand?

Isn't his name Yamamoto? Yamaguchi is the haikyuu character no?
Yamamoto is the libero, Yamaguchi is one of the middle blockers along with Onodera.
