    Just discovered you Jared. Great work shop with some fine tools. I would like to have a go at woodturning..haven't done any since school in the 1960s, so would prob need refresher course! Looking forward to your videos.

    Well done. I like your workshop. I just found your channel today. That workshop is a really good size. I am going to build one soon hopefully and I'm going to try to build it about the same size as yours. Currently I work on my back porch which has it's pros and cons. I look forward to watching more of your videos. It's nice to see young folks pursuing woodworking so I shall be watching your content regularly for ideas and info. Thank you for the tour of your workshop.

      Thank you very much! Much appreciated! Should hopefully be some videos coming soon. Have been a bit busy with work so haven’t had much time to film anything. I also need to think of some ideas to film. 👍👍

    You said you cannot see out of your face shield, all of them come with a protective film over them, did you remove that?

    • @thepondworkshop7957
      @thepondworkshop7957  3 года назад +1

      Thank you for you comment. Yes I have now but only just recently. I’ve had many comments telling me to remove the film, which I didn’t realise I had to do. What a doughnut! 😆😂👍

    Lovely workshop bud. Very nicely laid out too.
    When measuring a cut size on your bandsaw try just measuring from your blade to the fence in the middle where the blade is. The blade is so small that paralleling the fence like you would on a table saw isn’t needed 👍

    • @thepondworkshop7957
      @thepondworkshop7957  3 года назад +1

      Thank you! Will take this on board. My next video involves the bandsaw which I mention a few problems I’ve had when cutting, which this could be one of the reasons. 👍

    Regarding your bandsaw fence, Axminster tools do an upgraded fence for small bandsaws, I think they are about £24. I fitted one to my Titan bandsaw and it's so much better than the piece on junk it came with. May be something to consider. Keep up the good work. Regards. Rob

    Try a 1.5" plastic waste elbow on your dewalt to turn it 90° then small length of pipe, then your extractor pipe

    Good wee set up , what size is your shed and do you have insulation inside.

    • @thepondworkshop7957
      @thepondworkshop7957  3 года назад

      Thank you! It’s 12x8. And it’s not insulated. I just have 9mm OSB (I think, either that or it’s 12mm) surrounding the inside of the shed. However it does get very cold. Just bought myself a small heater.

    Your face shield. Is these a thin layer of plastic on it to protect it from scratches?

    • @thepondworkshop7957

    Great that you are doing vids on youtube, can I give you a piece of friendly advice, the heavy rock music might appeal to your ears but it's a bit of a noisy rabble to many. The noisy rock guitar music would be enough to keep me away from your channel so bear this in mind.
    Thanks for making this video though and for sharing your ideas, I wish you every success.🙂

    • @thepondworkshop7957

      Thank you for your advice. I actually rewatched this video back a couple of days ago and thought the music was a little loud at the beginning. But you live and you learn. I don’t really put much music in my videos nowadays, normally because I’m talking. Thanks again 👍
