  • Take a look behind the scenes at Hornsby Quarry, where the rehabilitation is progressing well. This spectacular footage will give you a good idea of just how vast the project is.

Nice to see an Aggreko generator 'front and centre'. We don't just make whisky and shortbread in Scotland.

Trucks.....Hundreds of trucks ruining roads around Hornsby down beyond Pennant Hills to the M2.
Once the Nth Connex is running then Pennant Hills Rd will require a massive restoration as well as many roads around the greater Hornsby area.
Just hope a tarmac velodrome is included in the renewal of the quarry park precinct.

kutunui1 Matua I think it was mentioned (in a previous video) that the company went bankrupt and couldn’t be held accountable as a result.

im worried that this soil is gonna introduce a bunch of weeds into the surrounding area what steps are being taken to prevent this?

Not to many weeds grow 20 mtrs underground

Do some effin research!!!! There is no "soil" going into the quarry, it is all sandstone that has been excavated from a tunnel that is being built, the sandstone going in there has not seen the light of day for thousands of years, not much chance of weeds in it

This is the most stupidest disaster ever. The would is suffering from drought. The only water Sydney has is rainwater. We need to get rid of OSD tanks and direct the stormwater to catchments like that. What about bush fires what salt water is good for our bush land seriously

Andrew Li i think bridges and floating structures could have been used to make it a great usable public space using the cool deep clean water as a feATure , diving , deep diving school or tours , idk i was just kinda speaking with my intial gut feeling and to be honest i have know knowledge of the issue and possibly whzt their doing the best idea .

ontheedge33371 bruh. They had to fill it. It’s not very safe or stable to leave as is, especially as public space. They had to fill it for safety reasons....... thanks for the honest reply
