I have recently moved from Pioneer to Denon & went for the SC Live 4. It does have EQ for the Aux Input, they are located in the settings menu for the mic/aux. The SC Live 4 is brilliant for any mobile djs out there or Live streamers/Internet radio djs. It's a weapon of a unit with great effects etc, any club dj will also feel right at home on this unit & be able to pull off Mixes they do on the club gear. I would highly recommend it 100%
Fully agreed! Add the great light/DMX control and Ableton Link (!) being also integrated and you get a killer product for 1300 bucks. Pioneer became such a joke.
Do you guys recommend sc live 4 for bedroom mixing with built in speakers? I really like the look of this but it does look a little cheap and plastic and I’m just so unsure how I’ll feel about it in person. I’ve only mixed on 1210’s and I’m worried that this sc live 4 will be a million miles behind and possibly feel like going back to belt drive . How do you feel about the plastic nature of device? Can you really mix well on them like 1210’s? Part of me thinks this device is a cheap toy for kids. Amazon did say I can buy and return if I’m unhappy but I feel a bit uneasy about it. Especially as knowing my luck, they may go back on their word and say can’t return because it’s used. I just want to get back in to mixing again after 10 year break. I can’t play loud music so that’s why this live 4 with speaker , may just be acceptable enough and I can get back to my dream hobby. I kinda wanted stem support and to be able to plug in turntables but if so live 4 feels nice and performs nice, I’d be happy to buy it and I could always buy the 1 or 2 higher quality build pioneer all in 1 or and some other equipment, over next few years. At very least, sc live 4 could be great to even take in kitchen and mix for 40 mins while cooking dinner. I could use power bank and take it in garden in afternoon for a chill mix. I could even take it on the toilet while taking a dump and have a quick mix. Of course I wouldn’t do that tho. I can’t even feel comfortable using phone, while on toilet. I’m also worried that engine dj may be very poor. Slow, crashing etc Is this really a proper adult dj device or juat for kids?
@@grahamkelly8662 Have you actually bought an SC Live? I finally went for a prime 4 plus. It's coming in on wednesday and will be a replacement for a Xone:92 (I'll keep my 1200's for now). I sold last month my big & heavy turntable & mixer setup powered by Serato and bought SC Live 4…Im mobile wedding DJ and I felt in love with standalone system with streaming services. No more “Serato face”…Prime 4 is the beast but too big and heavy…and SC live 4 cost a half of Prime 4 price…

Hi Djs. I got Prajm4 already 4years. Next week i will have an opportunities to compare those two rokets. Ill buy next week sclive4. Prime is great weapon..a bit of heavy, i dont need to many buttons on it. Thank you for a this video. Denon djs forever. Miro
Nice review , George, good to know about the sound cards in both 4 channel standalone consoles… are the same , no compromise there Then, which is very important to people…
I owned both. Sclive4 is nice and small, and sounds great! The prime 4 is big and all buttons are backlight when off and makes it easy to see all functions in the dark. The are both great to mix on but one thing I find on the prime 4 is the mixer faders seem fragile.

This video is hard to watch since prime 4s are sold out. 😂 I have to buy either the sc live 4 or the numark mixsrtream plus. I’ve always used Numark but I decided to go to Denon after your last video with the Amazon upgrade. Hey there, can you play tracks on the SC Live 4 directly from USB without using Engine Software? And if so, how does the screen look, does it has the same views, or is the screenview limited? Thanks in advance for your reply! Grtz Jerome
Yes you can simply have a USB with tracks on that haven't been put through any dj software prior & the SC Live 4 will analyse them itself really quickly giving you the waveform, bpm & key once loaded to one of the decks 👍🏻
I had a problem with my prime 4 yesterday and the screen freezing. First gig I take it out to. I was using streaming through tidal and playing off a usb stick. I’m not confident using it in parties and weddings anymore
