Bobby Orr was the first person to come out publicly, that I remember, to defend Grapes when he was taking shots from all angles over the 'you people' comment. So many people were either afraid, or hesitant to speak up for Don early on... Bobby Orr came out immediately to defend his friend.
This world is being turned upside down. Hopefully those cancel culture punks well eat themselves.

Don great to see you on utube.I grew up watching hockey,since the NHL let you go I've stopped watching pro hockey,you added alot of color to the game,something special that the NHL will never get back. Never bend the knee for those cancel culture punks. As a Boston sports fan, if I could meet ANY of my heroes it would be Robert Gordon Orr. Until this video... because I hadn't heard about any backlash... I had never heard ANYONE say ANYTHING negative about him. Bobby is one of the true gentlemen in all of professional sports.

orr my fav athlete by far jumped onthe pond in wellesley back in 71 or 2 un anounced and skated around with a bunch of kids and split i was blown away then iwatched him on tv on38 threw the snow ....great mems( rabbit ears and tin foil)

It doesn’t help that Orr lives in Florida, came from Canada and played in Boston yet took this one page ad out in NH. It was 100% politically motivated to help push any old Bruins fans in NH to vote for Trump.
If he casually said he supported trump or was quoted as such or tweeted it, far less a big deal IMO. This was far more calculated and 100% campaign coordinated as it was similarly written to Jack Nicklaus’ letter of support. If you want to swim in that arena you have to be prepared for what comes with it. Criticism
