He’s a cool character, unfortunately, I feel like his mystique has been lost. Funny enough, the only ninja left with any real mystique who I honestly like more than Reptile, is his closest relative (as far as make ninjas is concerned): Chameleon.
@EpicJasonX9000 Be careful with the game because the game Genie codes doesn't work with the game anymore because the person who made the game removes the ability to use your game genie codes. And sometimes the game Genie codes for the game Will cause it to crash.
well, it is a fan made rom hack which is vastly improved over the original release. it's definitely cool to see which is why I love these fan made games. it keeps the consoles alive far passed their expiration dates and it gives us new experiences from older franchises. far more exciting than the modern games we've got now if you ask me.
forgive me for the late response, I had to look it up. in either case: here's how you can access Reptile in MK Arcade Edition: Play as REPTILE: Highlight Scorpion, hold A & press START! Keep the 2 buttons held until any match begins! (Note: You need to hold these 2 buttons down every time before another match begins!) Playing as REPTILE: Press the MODE (SELECT) button or Up + B to switch REPTILE'S Move List!
Yes. I’ve actually seen people sell reproduction carts which can play on your original Genesis hardware. To me, this is a great way to expand the life of classic 90’s consoles with new games we never thought was possible. For example, I own two repro carts for the SNES, StarFox 2 (final beta version) and UMK3 Deluxe, and they work perfectly fine on my SNES.
you're welcome. I've seen plenty of listings of this on websites like Etsy & eBay, so you should have no problems finding it. it's well worth owning and a major improvement over the original release.
@@Patrick19833 no he can't. you forget that it's a hack, there's only so much you can do with limited resources. besides, the sprites are still using Scorpion and/or Sub-Zero's programming since Reptile wasn't a fully playable character in the original game. that's why even in the arcade version his name was Scorpion on the health bar. my guess that he was trying to make it as arcade accurate as possible despite the limitations of the Sega Genesis software.
@@Patrick19833 apparently not, but then again I have no complaints since it's still pretty much faithful to the original arcade, although it was a lot of fun to discover that Ermac & Noob Saibot were also in the game. although it's far more difficult to access Noob than it is Reptile.
I disagree, it works well for this game and is iconic in it's own unique way. you also need to remember that this fan made hack is based on the original Sega Genesis version. I think even by 2022 standards, we can let the music slide.

Dude I remember the mystique of Reptile back then. He is one of my top favorite MK characters.

I had no clue I could play as Reptile on here! Thank you! For some reason, he does the “old” head rip instead of the improved one too. That’s weird! 😄

You can play as noob saibot too
@@EpicJasonX9000I’d love to see someone create the cancelled X-men 3 game for genesis
Dang emrac was really fast. But nothing beats the old back jump kick. Nice skill set.
Is it a hack over MK1 or it's a modified MK2?
They have the pit music in warriors shrine?
That’s the genesis’ pit theme, on the arcade, it’s the warrior shrine theme
In this version, is ermac usable?
this is true. he's just a secret boss you can fight.
so how do u choose Reptile in the game?

Cant do fatalities as reptile
in this version you can, it would mostly just be Reptile copying either Scorpion and/or Sub-Zero's Fatality.
It still says Scorpion above his health bar.
well, that can't be fixed. it was that way even in the arcades, so it's 30 years too late to be complaining about that.
