These shoes are hand-welted (made without machines) which is almost unheard of nowadays. Hand -welted shoes command prices of 2000Eur and up in France and Italy. In England , well I don't think there are any shoemakers left who welt by hand . 450Eur for hand weleted shoes on Italian last from Budapest is an unimaginable baragain.

....you mean lock tight welted shoes as opposed to Goodyear ( gemming ) production welted shoes ..... lock tight welted sews through the insole, liner and upper tying these shoe components together as one ( bespoke quality ) .... the Goodyear welting process sews through the welt channel, upper, liner and cemented ( to the insole) gemming vertical wall which in time becomes distorted and loses adhesion to the insole and hence the shoe/boot's integrity and durability becomes compromised.

Of course there are bespoke shoe makers in the UK. That‘s the country where the specialists for brogues are. Completely bespoke, ie including a last made for your foot will be around £2000. Based on an existing last it can be £600.

@@thomasjones7115 Goodyear welted shoes can be resolved. There is nothing bad about that process, it makes good shoes (more) affordable. Cemented soles and Blake stitched shoes should not be as expensive as they often are.

They don‘t specify if the model for 400 Euros will be handwelted.

So it‘s confirmed then: what‘s called „Budapester“ does not originate in Hungary, but in Scotland and is in fact a brogue. What has not been clarified yet is why they only offer them at such a high price point in Budapest. Like in England, there should be a range. English brands offer very well made brogues for around £400. They also take 8 weeks and 260 processes or so to be made. I think it would be good if there were brogues from Budapest not just for the rich. £400 is already quite a lot, but everything above it is out of reach for most. Just a thought.

Budapest looks like a great city. Not like western European cities that now resemble African and Arab cities.
