Phoenix - Hlib Baisha (Solo Nylon Jazz Guitar)

Phoenix is my original composition consisting of four parts:

6:38 Resurrection
9:47 Life
This composition is a mix of composing techniques borrowed from classical music and jazz improvisation. The main themes of developing the image of Phoenix - the mystical creature - are presented in the opening section of the composition. Each next section develops the motives presented earlier in the composition, guiding a listener through the protagonist’s evolution.
An immortal bird symbolizing the purity of goodness, Phoenix is destined to vanish in our postmodern times, where the symbolic struggle between Good and Evil seems to have lost its meaning.
