- Here's three NEW Claas LEXION Model 8700 combines straight cutting an excellent crop of spring wheat. These machines are only in their second field, having taken on a crop of standing oats the day before.
This is an impressive combine with a great flex header and a very quiet and roomy cab.
These combines are operating close to Elm Creek, Manitoba
I got to see a Claas 8700 for the first time this year.. its a beast of a combine!
At first I wasn't a big fan of the green and white, but it's really starting to grow on me!!👍👍
From a European perspective it’s all we’ve ever known, it’s weird to my eyes to see a Claas combine with a black reel. It should be orangey red.
Yes. Wasn't as rough as I'd thought it would be
SUPER!!!♥
Why would you ever order one with tracks and not get the 510 bushel hopper?!?!
I'll answer that by suggesting you go back to look at a previous video of mine: "Harvest Ruts of 2019"
Some of that video is from the same field that these Claas combines are cutting the spring wheat.
Add another 6,000 lb to that and it only gets worse. In the Red River Valley of Manitoba, we're wet like that more often than we're "dry" like it was this fall.
It should come standard with a baler 😆
It looks a little rough. Is that just because of the Terra Tracs?
Those tracks ride smoother than tires. It’s rough because they are combining across the seed rows.
Is this on one of the colonies near Elie?
Nope. North of Elm Creek, MB
2 swathing, one spreading??
Yes - a neighbor wants some straw bales - but not the whole field's worth.....
