Christi I could never understand what Abby had against Chloe, she is such a lovely girl,please enlighten me💕
Christi and Abby never were on good terms. Christi was always there to point out even the minor differences Abby made to favor Maddie. And Chloe did believe her mother. So it was tougher for Abby to make the child trust her as a teacher. The problem was Christi never stopped complaining and Abby started to show more and more favoritism towards Maddie. To the point that Chloe almost lost her confidence and with the years instead of getting better she was getting worst. Teachers like Abby cannot be contraddiced since they can't stand it and if you do that as a parent, your child will pay the price. This works for tousands and tousands of dance schools around the world. Plus Abby said it many many times that the parents should stay quiet. Christi should have known her behavior was only hurting Chloe, and she should have probably took her out of that situation. But I do understand it was a hard thing to do because of the contract they had signed that had them on the show for at least six years. Which is a lot in the life of a child. And Abby even admitted that she started to treat Chloe even worse after she knew she couldn't leave. And Chloe actually did left the Aldc in season 4 but couldn't leave dance moms so she was filming while she wasn't even training under Abby. That obviously made things worst. Abby excluded Chloe from Mackenzie's video for the song because she only took children from the Aldc.... So imagine how poor Chloe must have felt. Had she found a better school with less drama, she would have certainly grown more as a dancer. Even though you probably wouldn't know who she was nowadays.

That Teen Choice speech of Chloe's gets me every single time..im so glad Christi mentioned the whole Dance Moms cast being there and staring down Abby as she said that last bit...thats awesome, cos I had always wondered if she ever saw it and secondly, showing others that you can face your bullies, and finally say what you've always wanted to and come up ahead in life....really showing them up and how wrong they were...that is pure life goals right there for so many people, so to see Chloe do it and so eloquently at such a young age is pure gold, all class! Well done Chloe!!!

Finding out that the “crazy person” that screamed before Chloe finished her speech was Christi is hilarious. Especially when you go back and actually hear it.
And finding out that the entire dance moms cast (especially Abby) had to sit there and watch Chloe in all her glory after what happened to her is such a serve lmao.
I hope its a reunion series because the new cast is boring.
nylotus For real. The season 8 cast may be good enough for the ALDC, but they certainly don’t really have a place in my heart. And that high-maintenance, narcissistic, hypocritical behemoth that was once a good person running the show is even more boring to watch.

Yeah, at least with the old cast they were funny, the drama was original, and they had some nice people. The new cast is all boring dumb crazy people, at least that is how they are edited. They all try to hard to be like one of the ogs.

Chloe and Christi have genuinely been my favourites from the beginning- that very first episode of dance moms made me fall in love with them and I've watched chloe grow from a sweet unsure little girl to a confident and strong young woman. It's strange, i almost feel like they're a part of the family-over the years I've laughed 'with' them, cried, celebrated, cheered, encouraged; my heart broke when chloe said she heard what abby had said and i got shivers when chloe won choice dancer and said those iconic words. I just want the best for the whole family and i feel so privileged to be able to be witness to their lives.

I’m sorry but Chloe’s teen choice award was so inspirational and just hit different. I didn’t realize that the whole cast was there when she gave the speech, but regardless her entire journey has been amazing. I’ve been in that same position where the odds are continued to be stacked against you, but the resilience of dancers like Chloe, Nia, Paige, etc. have been so incredible and inspiring to watch.

i definitely think you should do another one of these! it’s so fun to hear the stories behind them & i’m pretty sure it’s very original, i haven’t seen anyone else do it but i could be wrong. maybe include the girls next time if you could? that could be fun for you all to look back on them & tell what you all remember or just for the girls to hear the stories too of some they weren’t there for!

I love this video!! Love hearing the behind the scenes stories and family stories. We got your back if you ever aren't sure how old Chloe was. She was only 14 at the TCAs, so that was even braver! I love that moment so much. It was PERFECT and I absolutely LOVE it that she was sitting so close and Abby had to watch her walk up to that podium and give that amazing speech right at her. I literally had to go back and rewatch chloes speech to see her glancing to her left when she did her speech - I absolutely love it!! That’s so brave and inspiring
At the time I personally think she was talking about the because mom said so podcast.
She was, she mentioned that she ended up having to leave because it brought up too many traumatic memories for her.

Okay first, I absolutely loved you on dance moms. Second, did the way you were portrayed on the show ever have affect your personal relationships. IE: with mark, chloe, clara, possibly other mothers you knew. Because they did have a habit of making you look like the bad guy (which i always hated)

Christi, I was an immediate fan of your's since day one! Like you, I have a distinct profile (lol) (talking noses here), was ridiculed and told that I should think about "fixing" it. I thought it was a ridiculous thing to do to myself and have always felt my nose was what distinguished me from all the other beautiful people in the world so when you made that comment on the show that you'd never consider getting your nose done and that you wear yours like a badge of honor...I so so SO admired and appreciated you for saying that! Also loved how your face always gave away what you were thinking. Lol! Those were some priceless TV moments!
